We’re partnered with a leading defense and space provider, based just outside Buffalo, New York.
You'll act as the Lead Electrical Engineer, helping technically lead the development of new high-voltage motors and motor controls for complex Space, Defence, and Aerospace systems
Lead Electrical Engineer Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of complex motion control systems with a focus on power electronics and motor design, including multilevel PCB boards and complex circuitry.
- Act as the first line of defense and technical resource, guiding and mentoring junior engineers while owning and executing the design process.
- Collaborate across various defense business units to forecast and define tasks, ensuring timely and cost-effective project completion.
- Prepare and validate design proposals, performing trade studies and analyses to ensure reliability and performance.
- Drive innovative solutions in electrohydraulic, electropneumatic, and electromechanical systems for defense applications.
Lead Electrical Engineer Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with 8+ years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with 6+ years of experience; preference for candidates with 10+ years.
- Expertise in power electronics, motor design, and high-voltage systems, with hands-on experience in circuit schematics and multilevel PCB design.
- Ability to own the design process while delegating PCB design tasks to junior engineers.
- Strong analytical skills and experience in solving complex engineering challenges.
- Must be able to work 100% onsite in East Aurora, NY; U.S. citizenship is required due to government-related work.
