Ahimsa Companies is hiring a Managing Director - Head of Growth to join our leadership team
and oversee our portfolio. Ahimsa Companies is a holding company executing an M&A rollup
strategy of plant-based food brands & manufacturing companies. Our mission is to create a
more healthy and sustainable food system by promoting plant-based nutrition.
The Managing Director - Head of Growth position will be responsible for leading and overseeing
the portfolio companies with an emphasis on growth, driving forward the sales and marketing
strategies for all brands under the Ahimsa Companies umbrella.
This role requires a visionary leader with a strategic mindset, exceptional leadership skills, and
a proven track record in driving revenue growth and brand development on a global scale. The
Managing Director will be a member of the Ahimsa Companies’ leadership team and will work
closely with the brand general managers. This role will also have the opportunity to build a
team, including the marketing and sales function of the business, to ensure alignment and
execution of the company’s overall objectives.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced individual to join the leadership team of
Ahimsa Companies and to work cross-functionally across the organization as the company
continues to execute upon its buy-and-build strategy in the plant-based foods sector. The role
provides a front-row seat to the ins-and-outs of running a firm operating at the nexus of private
equity M&A and vertically integrated food. The ideal candidate will be a servant leader, strategic
thinker and highly effective communicator who is organized, thoughtful and has sharp execution

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Strategic Leadership
- In close collaboration with the general managers of the portfolio companies, develop the
P&L, budget and forecast for each portfolio company
- Oversee the sales and marketing strategies that align with the company’s overall
business objectives
- Create strategic connectivity, communication and idea sharing between the portfolio
companies and the holding company
2. Revenue Growth
- Drive revenue growth through innovative sales strategies, market expansion, and
customer acquisition initiatives.
- Identify new business opportunities and markets to expand the company’s reach and
profitability.
4. Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of general managers, sales
professionals and marketers
- Foster a collaborative and results-driven culture that encourages innovation and
continuous improvement.
5. Market Research & Development
- Develop a marketing team to identify market trends, customer needs, and competitive
insights, working tangentially with General Managers.
- Utilize market research to inform product development, pricing strategies, and
go-to-market plans.
6. International Operations
- Manage and oversee the performance of international sales and marketing teams to
ensure alignment with global strategies.
- Adapt and implement strategies to meet the unique needs of international markets.
7. Performance Analysis
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of
sales and marketing initiatives.
- Provide regular reports and insights to the executive team on sales performance, market
trends, and growth opportunities.
8. Budget Management
- Develop and manage sales and marketing budgets to ensure efficient allocation of
resources.
- Optimize spending to maximize return on investment (ROI) and achieve financial targets.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field (MBA preferred)
- Proven experience in a senior leadership role, preferably within a holding company or
multi-brand environment and/or CPG sales and marketing background.
- Proven track record of leading operational transformations and achieving significant
business results (i.e. revenue growth and brand development on a global scale).
- Strong business acumen.
- Leadership presence with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Strong understanding of market research, product development, and competitive
analysis.
- Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate
teams to achieve ambitious goals.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and
make data-driven decisions.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and results-oriented environment.
