MANUFACTURING ENGINEER

Jorgensen Conveyor and Filtration Solutions is seeking someone to join our Manufacturing Team, who under the direction of the Director of Manufacturing, evaluates and improves manufacturing processes by applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials and leads continuous improvement with a strong emphasis on maintaining and enhancing safety.

We need a team layer with a positive attitude, attention to detail, organized and strong communication skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Process improvement throughout manufacturing using Lean Principles
• Develop work instructions for manufacturing processes and safety requirements
• Uses cost reduction activities to ensure products are produced in the most cost-effective manner
• Participate in decision of purchasing new capital equipment
• Develop plant layouts to maximize product
• Act as a technical resource to engineering, purchasing, vendors, subcontractors and suppliers
• Maintain technical competencies and remain current in technology within industry
• Work closely with technician on laser nesting and CNC equipment programming
• Regularly review current production methods in laser and forming, and recommend areas of cost improvement
  
  
  

Education/Experience:

Requires an associate degree or two years of college with job related coursework, and on to three years of related experience; or a combination of education and experience.

• Experience with Microsoft Office
• Experience with ERP Software
• Solid math skills
• Draftsight and Bysoft CAM/CAD program knowledge is a plus
