About Us: Carbon Ridge (“CR”) is a United States-based developer of carbon capture & storage solutions for the Maritime and Offshore industries. CR's Onboard Carbon Capture & Storage (“OCCS”) solution provides a low-cost and near-term solution to significantly reduce the intensity of carbon dioxide (CO2) and other greenhouse gases (GHGs) onboard large maritime vessels and offshore operating assets. We’re looking for a proactive and enthusiastic Marketing and Public Relations Intern to join our team and help amplify our message within climate and shipping verticals.


As a Marketing Intern at Carbon Ridge, you'll have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of marketing within a forward-thinking, mission-driven organization. You'll work closely with our team to support campaigns, create engaging content, and assist with market research. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone eager to learn and make a real impact related to climate change and decarbonization. This position will be hybrid, with some in person work at our offices in Santa Monica, as well as remote work depending on the candidate's academic schedules and availability of our team.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Content Creation: Assist in developing and curating content for our customer / investor presentations, website, blog, and social media p

  • ign Management: Assist in planning and executing marketing and PR campaigns, including drafting press materials, designing promotional assets, and scheduling social media posts.Media
  • Relations: Support media outreach efforts, including preparing media kits, tracking press coverage, and helping with press inquiries.Event
  • Support: Aid in organizing and promoting events, such as press conferences, webinars, and community outreach programs.Resea
  • rch and Analysis: Conduct research on industry trends, media outlets, and competitors to inform strategies and identify opportunities.Colla
  • boration: Work with engineering teams to translate day-to-day engineering activities into presentable materials for stakeholders.


  • Qualifications:

    • Education: Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a relat

    • s: Strong written and verbal communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and familiarity with LinkedIn.Graph
