Job Summary:

The Marketplace Marketing Specialist is responsible for managing the promotion and exposure of products and categories. This includes: Management of promotion plans, categories, featured products & rich content article placement, market researches, developing a user growth strategy, management and optimization of onsite search, refinements, analytics, forecasting, etc.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop monthly promotional/sales plans with Marketplace Account Manager that create and drive revenue, traffic, and category growth.
  • Execute and coordinate promotion events including scheduling, product selection, copywriting, identifying product focus, seasonality, conversion, and user engagement strategy.
  • Identifying proper promotion programs for Marketplace products categories and key sellers, includes email marketing, social giveaways, etc.
  • Collaborate with design, promotion, digital marketing, and social team to ensure the goal of promotions/sales events are met.
  • Conduct marketing research to ensure the products listed by sellers are competitive in the U.S market.
  • Create event pages, promotion codes, and gift cards via system for any promotional purpose.
  • Manage weekly product selection and placement on mobile and PC sites.
  • Leverage internal data and external trends to create a cohesive category strategy. Recognize and recommend opportunities to improve the customer shopping experience.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business/Marketing required.
  • 1-2+ years of work experience in E-commerce-Business.
  • Familiar with Beauty Categories is a plus.
  • Bilingual in Chinese and English
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong industry knowledge of marketplace business models. Intermediate understanding of Marketing Principles and Retailing
  • Competent knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), and excellent presentation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships with employees and sellers through networking
  • Detail-oriented, self-starter with a positive attitude who is deadline and results-oriented
