Trustpoint.One is collaborating with a global law firm in their search for a Patent Agent in any one of their US offices or possibly on a fully remote basis. This is a full-time, direct hire position, and base salary will be commensurate with skill and experience based on the geographic location of the successful candidate. Duties include, but are not limited to the following:
- Drafting patent applications and other documents during all stages of the patent prosecution process with the USPTO and with foreign patent offices;
- Taking invention disclosures and coordinating and corresponding with inventors and clients;
- Conducting and analyzing the results of prior art searches; and
- Maintaining knowledge of the latest patent laws in order to assist internal and external clients with drafting legal documents.
Qualified candidates will have at least at least two years of patent prosecution experience in 5G, Wi-Fi and other wireless technologies, artificial intelligence (AI), processor and memory systems, image processing and RF front-end. In addition, the candidate should have excellent academic credentials in addition to strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills. The ideal candidate will also have an Electrical Engineering degree (or an equivalent) and must be registered with the United States Patent Trademark Office ("USPTO") or qualified to register for the USPTO. All candidates must be able to work at a computer screen for a sustained amount of time.
