Our Global Strategic Finance team is looking for a Principal to join our team. This candidate will partner closely with our Enterprise Strategy, Nike Marketplace, Nike Digital Product, Global Tech, Corporate Development, and Investor Relations teams to deliver strategic finance analysis that provides actionable insight to Nike, Inc. This candidate must be comfortable with ambiguity, a self-starter, action-oriented, and results-driven to be successful. Additionally, superb Excel skills are required, as is the ability to partner and build trust with a wide range of cross-functional business partners.

This role will support the Global Strategic Finance team. You will work with the team as they shape and support workstreams to help drive understanding of the potential value created through long-term marketplace opportunities. This role will be responsible for driving broad insights and thorough analysis that can shape the business strategy, but also be responsible for creating business models that identify value creation opportunities. This role will blend a strategic mindset with quantitative analyses and financial acumen that will be used to support key decision-making.

The candidate will also work on and help lead ad-hoc projects. For these projects, you will help scope the work, drive the financial and strategic analysis, and communicate findings / insights with key stakeholders. You will also support as needed the process of building financial forecasts and analyzing current and historical trends.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work collaboratively in a dynamic, diverse team environment to establish trust with a broad range of cross-functional stakeholders
• A dvise senior business leaders and other team members with strategic and financial analysis using a variety of systems and tools, ensuring data quality and accuracy for decision-making ; t his role requires leadership and cross-functional work across F inance and enterprise-wide team s to deliver timely deliverables and financial insights against high expectations
• Provide financial support and strategic analysis for enterprise-wide teams; be a subject matter expert with a deep understanding of Nike's financial statements and results
• Deliver sharp insights and analysis that can shape Nike's business strategy while also creat ing value-accretive business models to support the Marketplace growth
• Build and understand business cases as it relates to growth opportunities for Nike
• Drive the core financial processes for the Global Strategic Finance team
• Create best - in - class processes to better evaluate, forecast and plan investments
• Assess progress of various initiatives , at both high and granular level, and recommend actions to improve the performance of various investment decisions
• Communicate financial and business results and growth opportunities to senior leaders
• Identify marketplace risks & opportunities; lead cross-functional teams in mitigating risks and capitalizing on opportunities
  
  

On a daily basis, you will be working across the Nike matrix. You will work closely with our Digital Product Capability teams, Enterprise Strategy, Nike Marketplace Channel teams, Global Technology, and Cross-Functional Finance teams to analyze and evaluate long-term value creation opportunities.

• Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and minimum of 8 or 9 years directly relevant work experience. Note: One of the following alternatives may be accepted: PhD or Law + 6 yrs; Masters + 7 yrs; Associates degree + 9 yrs; High School + 10 yrs
• 5+ years' experience with financial/business analysis; investment banking experience strongly preferred
• Superb Excel skills
• Strong passion for the Nike brand and an understanding of sport and/or sport culture
• Ability to work well in a collaborative, team environment
• A diverse and inclusive mindset
• Development of long and short-term financial plans
• Problem structuring and strategic problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Experience with presenting and influencing senior leadership
