OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY

The Production Planner is responsible for defining the prioritized production schedule, communicating this to all operations via visual boards, coordinating production material activities, and opening and supporting on-time closing of manufacturing work orders. All work-related activities should be conducted in a manner that is consistent with the company values and operating philosophy.

Accountabilities

  • Develop, communicate, and maintain an overall production plan in alignment with the SIOPP tool.
  • Generate work orders and communicate with various production employees any changes with the production plan.
  • Create functional reports indicating the performance of the production plan and regularly update other Production Planners for various product lines.
  • Coordinate with Buyers and Inventory Controller to make sure we have inventory needed to execute the production plan.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Certifications and Required Experience):

  • Associates Degree in Business or Related Field- Preferred
  • CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management) or CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional) certification preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a supply chain function or related field
  • Fluency with Microsoft Office Applications

Physical Requirements

  • Walking - Ability to walk the manufacturing floor for extended periods of time.
  • Noise - The worker is subject to noise on a regular basis and shouting may be required to be heard above noise level; hearing protection.
  • Sitting - The body is supported by buttocks and back and employee needs to remain seated for extended periods of time.
