Production Supervisor

Within our Plant Production Operations team located in Allendale, MI, Leprino is seeking a Whey Production Supervisor to propel our organization to greater levels of operational efficiency! • Plan and schedule daily staffing needs to optimize labor efficiency.
• Lead and coach your team by implementing technical training, safety protocols, quality measures, and employee development programs.
• Foster strong working relationships and a positive work environment.
• Supervise daily operations to ensure production standards and quality parameters are met.
• Identify equipment repair needs and initiate maintenance work orders to minimize downtime.
• Implement plant safety programs to ensure compliance and maintain a safe working environment.
• Provide training, equipment, and tools to ensure employees can safely perform their jobs.
• Oversee the department’s quality systems to achieve quality goals.
• Monitor sanitation program effectiveness to meet food safety standards.
• Recommend improvements for labor and manufacturing efficiency, cost savings, and quality enhancements.

You Have At Least (Required Qualifications):

• A college degree in Food Science, Dairy Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of experience in a food manufacturing environment; additional education may substitute experience where applicable.
• 1+ year of experience leading, mentoring, and/or delegating work to others.
• Proficient computer knowledge, with familiarity or ability to learn SAP or other manufacturing computer systems.

We Hope You Also Have (Preferred Qualifications):

• 3+ years of experience in dairy or cheese manufacturing.
• 3+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
