  • 2024 is ARU’s fifth year in a row of growing more than 50% on a year over year basis, exclusively from organic growth. Equally as important, while many other Property writers struggle with profitability, ARU's proprietary methods continue to generate a healthy and sustainable underwriting portfolio
  • ARU’s Farm lines of business include , and . ARU’s fastest growing line (by far) is , where ARU has expanded and diversified into E&S Commercial Property, with an initial focus on ag and ag-adjacent occupancies. Today, Flex stands as our largest focus for growth within the company

POSITION INTRO

ARU’s roots run deep in delivering sustainable and profitable solutions to historically-challenging classes of Farm Property risks. In 2021, ARU expanded into the E&S Commercial Property market, initially focusing on Ag-related or Ag-adjacent occupancies, including Milling, Refining, Processing, Manufacturing, Warehouses, etc. As part of this initiative, ARU began establishing wholesale relationships and distributing via the wholesale channel for the first time.

With the combination of a substantially larger Total Addressable Market, larger individual risks, broader distribution, and ARU’s proven proprietary methods, the expansion into E&S Commercial Property has generated tremendous additional growth alongside market-leading underwriting profitability. Among ARU’s next initiatives is considering higher TIV schedules and participating in shared and layered risks, including writing up to $10M Primary layers.

ARU currently seeks an entrepreneurial-minded, senior PROPERTY production underwriter with demonstrated success in the highest-hazard occupancies to help us deliver expanded solutions to our wholesale relationships, while escalating our pace of profitable growth.

Examples of Recent Binds

A few words from ARU's CEO Will Johnson:

"I started ARU in 2016 at ground zero, with zero customers, zero revenue, and one big foundational idea: other market participants were operating fundamentally flawed models that were not sustainable. A completely new approach was needed -- an approach that looked ahead instead of backward and was based on the best available science, data, and technology. Fast forward to today… many of ARU’s competitors' unsustainable practices have caught up to them, and they have been forced to leave the space outright. Meanwhile, ARU is one of the fastest-growing specialty insurance organizations in the United States, with a strong and healthy underwriting portfolio.

We are now seeking our next great contributor: a technically-proficient, growth-oriented, Property underwriter who can match the existing team’s enthusiasm to wake up every day, roll-up-your-sleeves, and build something GREAT. If this sounds like you, I invite you to reach out to ARU."
