JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:


The Department of Geography in the College of Earth and Mineral Sciences is seeking a part-time Research Assistant. The successful candidate will: assist with compilation and analysis of field, laboratory, and geospatial data to evaluate vegetation change caused by fire in western USA forests. This work will support creation of scholarly products focused on ecosystem management of western landscapes. Other task may be assigned to support the research effort. Experience with Microsoft Access/Excel software for data input storage and retrieval, Geographic Information Systems (GIS) software (e.g. ArcGIS Pro), and basic quantitative analysis is highly desired. The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters.
