Role Description

Gregorys Coffee is looking to hire an experienced Senior Accountant to join our growing team! Reporting directly to our VP of Finance, you will play a key role in providing the leadership team with reliable and timely information to drive our growth.

This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Accountant in the New York City Metropolitan Area. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, analysis, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles.

Daily Tasks Include (but are not limited to)

• Collaborate with third-party accounting partners on daily accounting operations
• Assist in period-end financial close and statement audits
• Ensure all financial activity is presented accurately and in a timely manner
• Identify areas for improvement in company processes and financial performance
• Ensure accounting-related practices within our stores are processed efficiently, including reimbursement requests and inventory records
• Support our new store opening process by setting up corporate accounts
• Work cross-functionally on ad hoc reporting or accounting projects as necessary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 5+ years experience in accounting or related field
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability and willingness to take initiative and follow through on projects
• Ability to problem solve and think critically
• Financial Reporting, Budgeting, and Financial Analysis skills
• Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Experience in preparing and analyzing financial records
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience working in a multi-location organization preferred
• Experience with Restaurant365 Accounting software preferred
