Key Responsibilities:
Financial Statement Preparation: Lead the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring they are accurate and compliant with GAAP standards
Timely Financial Reporting: Ensure all financial data is reported accurately and on time, maintaining the highest standards of compliance and transparency
General Ledger Management: Oversee the management of the general ledger, including the supervision of journal entries and reconciliations to maintain financial integrity
Budget Monitoring: Analyze and report on variances between budgeted and actual financial performance, providing insights that drive business decisions
Accounts Payable & Receivable: Oversee the accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring that payments are made and collections are received in a timely manner
Cash Flow Management: Monitor daily cash balances and forecast future cash needs to effectively manage the company's cash flow
Account Reconciliations: Review and approve reconciliations for key accounts, ensuring accuracy and alignment with financial goals
Inventory Management: Monitor and reconcile inventory accounts, ensuring they align with physical inventory counts and provide analysis related to inventory turnover, shrinkage, and obsolescence
Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks, providing actionable insights to senior management
Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, fostering their professional development and ensuring a collaborative and productive working environment
Requirements
Qualifications:
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
Proven experience in managing general ledger functions and financial statement preparation
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify financial trends and provide actionable recommendations
Experience in supervising and mentoring junior accounting staff
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
