A financial services firm is seeking an experienced professional to join their growing team as a Senior Accountant in their New York City office.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting monthly and quarterly reconciliations/closings with the third-party fund administrator for the related funds.
  • Compose quarterly closing packages for CFO and board presentations.
  • Collaborating with the BDC s auditors to respond to audit requests and questions, ensuring financial reporting deadlines are met.
  • Recording journal entries in the internal accounting system for the BDC and associated funds.
  • Helping prepare investor reporting templates.
  • Collaborating with the operations, treasury, valuation, and fund finance teams to support BDC activities.
  • Perform other duties, as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor s Degree.
  • 2-5 years of professional experience working with alternative credit funds.
  • Experience with SEC filings and registered investment companies.
  • Strong communication skills in order to coordinate across functions.
  • Excellent organization skills, with ability to handle a wide variety of responsibilities and meet deadlines.
