We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Brand Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in visual design and branding, with a proven track record of creating impactful brand identities and design solutions. As a Senior Brand Designer, you will play a key role in shaping and evolving our brand’s visual identity, ensuring consistency across all touch-points, including digital brand systems, print design, web mocks, motion, and more.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute brand design strategies that align with the company’s vision and goals
  • Lead the creation and maintenance of brand guidelines, ensuring consistency and coherence across all platforms and materials
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, product, and sales to deliver cohesive and effective brand experiences
  • Design and produce a wide range of materials focused on growing, developing and iterating within our brand system and upholding standards and templates that will serve as the foundation of all other applications created by the Marketing, Product and Sales teams
  • Conduct market research and stay updated on industry trends to ensure the brand remains relevant and competitive
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior designers, fostering a collaborative and creative environment
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and quality standards are upheld
  • Present design concepts and solutions to stakeholders, effectively communicating the rationale behind design decisions
  • Utilize feedback to refine and iterate on designs, maintaining a high standard of quality

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in brand design or a similar role, preferably in an agency or in-house setting
  • 3+ years of experience working with startups, global brands, healthcare, or fin-tech
  • 3+ years of experience creating presentations and showcasing work to clients and/or leadership teams
  • 3+ years of experience in project management, including solid individual and team time management on multiple work-streams
  • 3+ years of experience working in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and Figma (specifically building and maintaining Figma design systems)
  • 2+ years of experience leading and executing on brand guidelines and design systems
  • 1+ years of experience in working within or for large organizations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with digital design and user experience (UX) principles
  • Solid portfolio showcasing a diverse range of branding projects and design skills
  • Exceptional creativity and innovation with a keen eye for detail
  • Solid understanding of typography, color theory, and layout principles
  • Knowledge of motion graphics and video editing
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
  • Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and best practices

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
