Job Title: Senior Civil Engineer


Location: California (Remote/Hybrid options available)

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer with a strong background in the design of pipelines, pump stations, and treatment plants for water, wastewater, and/or biosolids projects. The ideal candidate will hold a California Professional Engineer (PE) license and possess extensive knowledge in civil engineering principles and practices specific to these areas.


Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the design and development of water, wastewater, and biosolids infrastructure projects, including pipelines, pump stations, and treatment plants.

- Oversee project planning, budgeting, and scheduling to ensure timely and within-budget project delivery.

- Conduct site assessments, feasibility studies, and environmental impact evaluations.

- Prepare detailed engineering plans, specifications, and cost estimates.

- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including junior engineers, drafters, and other technical staff, to ensure project goals and client requirements are met.

- Provide technical expertise and mentorship to junior engineers and other team members.

- Collaborate with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders to obtain necessary permits and approvals.

- Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, standards, and regulations.

- Perform quality control and quality assurance reviews of engineering designs and documentation.

- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices to incorporate innovative solutions into projects.


Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field (Master's degree preferred).

- Current and valid California Professional Engineer (PE) license.

- Minimum of 10 years of experience in civil engineering with a focus on water, wastewater, and/or biosolids projects.

- Proven experience in the design of pipelines, pump stations, and treatment plants.

- Strong knowledge of engineering principles, practices, and standards related to water resources engineering.

- Proficiency in relevant engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, WaterCAD, etc.).

- Excellent project management and leadership skills.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.
