Giffels Webster has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Civil Engineer to join our Detroit Headquarters, working on several high-profile urban land development projects that are contributing to the revitalization of the City of Detroit. This position will be hybrid in our Detroit, MI office, working 3 days onsite and 2 days remote per week.
The ideal candidate will possess the ability to work independently on various engineering projects and assist a wide variety of client types from architects, developers, property owners and real estate professionals. You will work in a team environment led by a Project Manager/Senior Project Manager on a variety of tasks.
Typical Responsibilities Include
Site plan layout
Geometrics
Grading
Pavement design
Soil erosion and sediment control
Utility (storm sanitary and water) design
Stormwater management and green infrastructure design
Traffic plans
Details
Record drawings and specifications
Prepare permit applications and cost estimates
Attend meetings
Conduct field visits
Perform construction administration tasks

Requirements
Minimum Requirements
You have a civil engineering degree from an ABET accredited university or equivalent amount of applicable experience
At least 5 years of professional engineering experience
Must have experience in AutoCAD software
Preferred Qualifications
PE licensure in Michigan (or seeking to obtain)
Experience in Civil3D
