About the Role:

My Code is looking for a Senior Creative Strategist, My Code Studio who will own the creative strategy, ideation, and packaging of integrated custom programs for a variety of clients, working alongside internal teams (Media, Pub Dev, Sales, and Production) to craft a solution that is both on brand for My Code and in line with client's business goals.

Responsibilities:

Creative Strategy:

  • Concept, develop, and guide the creation of exciting, shareable, innovative brand partnerships that include but are not limited to social media activations, content sponsorships, custom content, product/brand integration, and experiential activations
  • Develop, package, and pitch original branded content programs on tight deadlines based on client and RFP requirements.
  • Create and manage the vision of special projects (editorial tentpoles, brand initiatives, etc.) throughout the entire process
  • Become intimately familiar with all facets of My Code's businesses (Remezcla Media Group, B Code, A Code, W Code, Pride Code) to develop cross-division brand partnership packages
  • Lead and be an active contributor to creative meetings and brainstorming sessions
  • Source, vet, and contract writers and influencer talent: Build and facilitate talent lists and approvals and lead influencer negotiations
  • Research and track competitive branded content across all platforms
  • Partner with the manager to lead quarterly writers' room activations for vertical-specific custom ideas
  • Understand the value of insights and leverage them to support your ideas
  • Establish yourself as a thought leader with a strategic and creative voice for both the client and My Code

Presentation/Sales Support:

  • Pitch ideas, both internally and directly to clients
  • Work across verticals to compile proactive concepts and continuously work alongside sales counterparts to identify and define opportunities for the further growth of the accounts and campaigns
  • Provide strategic creative and tactical support to key accounts in partnership with My Code's Sales team
  • Support Sales Account Executive counterparts on qualified sales calls and strategy sessions, as well as proposal presentations and pitches, to positively impact client relationships and create high-caliber creative programming.
  • Research and subscribe to various trades and posts to stay up to date on the digital media landscape and send reports to the entire Sales team

Qualifications:

  • At least 5-7 years of professional experience, preferably in a media company or creative agency
  • A deep understanding of multicultural marketing with proven experience in the space
  • An understanding of social video and how to optimize it for different platforms. 
  • Storyteller with experience translating insights, product information, and data into client-facing marketing presentations with strong creative writing and presentation-building skills
  • Thorough understanding of media and marketing metrics/KPIs, ad technology, and platforms
  • Well-versed in influencer marketing space with knowledge of all social platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, YouTube, Twitch, and Snapchat)
  • An understanding of virality and the media landscape
  • Excellent presentation skills – with advanced skills in Google Slides
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Self-motivated and fearless in carving out new responsibilities

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $90,000-$100,000. The salary and bonus structure is determined on a wide range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geography.
