Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Director of IT to join our team at the Denver Tech Center. This senior-level position will play a crucial role in shaping the strategic direction of TAKKION's IT infrastructure, ensuring the alignment of technology initiatives with our business goals. The Senior Director of IT will lead a team of IT professionals, manage technology operations, and drive the adoption of cutting-edge solutions to enhance our service offerings.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
Develop and implement IT strategies that support business objectives and growth plans.
Lead the IT department in setting and achieving short-term and long-term goals.
Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to ensure Takkion remains at the forefront of innovation.
Team Management
Oversee the recruitment, development, and retention of IT staff, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Provide leadership, mentorship, and performance management to the IT team.
Technology Operations
Ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of IT infrastructure.
Oversee the management of IT systems, networks, and applications, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.
Develop and enforce IT policies, procedures, and standards to maintain compliance and protect company assets.
Budget and Resource Management
Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective allocation of resources.
Evaluate and negotiate with vendors for software, hardware, and service procurement.
Cybersecurity
Implement robust cybersecurity measures to protect sensitive data and mitigate risks.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Business Continuity
Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure operational resilience.
Conduct regular testing and updates of contingency plans.
Qualifications
Must be located in the Greater Denver Area.
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
A minimum of 10 years of experience in IT management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
Proven experience in developing and executing IT strategies aligned with business objectives.
Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, networks, systems administration, and cybersecurity.
Demonstrated ability to manage complex IT environments and lead cross-functional teams.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Relevant certifications such as CISSP, ITIL, or similar are highly desirable.
