We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer with at least ten (10) years of engineering experience to join our Electrical Building Systems group serving Industrial, Commercial, Government and Higher Education markets.

Additional responsibilities include but may not be limited to the following:

  • This person is a technical expert in support of power distribution, lighting, grounding, and fire alarm systems for design projects as part of a multi-discipline project team to produce electrical design/construction drawings and specifications for industrial, commercial, and institutional facilities.
  • Spearhead electrical design projects from the conceptional design phase to construction and closeout phase.
  • Design robust power distribution systems, skilled in both low and medium voltage applications, tailored to the specific needs of cutting-edge manufacturing plants.
  • Ensure the design compliance with industry standards and apply an in-depth knowledge of the National Electrical Code to craft designs that meet the utmost safety and quality benchmarks.
  • Prepare electrical design calculations, studies and analysis technical reports, single line diagrams, schematics, interconnection diagrams and equipment sizing and layout.
  • Prepare design drawings and/or provide mark ups to drafting team or other project resources.
  • Provide construction administration service throughout all phases of construction.
  • Attend and lead design coordination meetings with other team members
  • Identify, analyze and resolve problems in a pro-active manner.
  • Perform QA/QC review of construction documents and technical reports.
  • Review fee estimates, cost opinions, and write technical documents.
  • Support with proposal opportunities.
  • Keep abreast of leading-edge technologies and market trends.
  • Must be able to travel to work sites as needed or required.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelors (BS) in Electrical Engineering
  • 7-10+ years of progressive engineering experience.
  • Experience in electrical design and engineering in target markets (Industrial, Commercial, Government, and Higher Education) with the ability to:
    • Demonstrate strong understanding of applicable engineering codes
    • Prioritize work and manage multiple projects under budget and time constraints
Certifications/Licenses

    • PE required
    • NCEES registration preferred
    • B.S. Engineering Degree
