Responsibilities
Project Planning and Management:
- Create and maintain a comprehensive project plan, covering scope, schedule, budget, resources, quality, and user adoption.
- Establish a project team, define roles, and develop a communication plan.
- Monitor progress, identify risks, and devise mitigation strategies.
- Develop project timelines, identify critical path activities, and manage dependencies.
- Proactively address issues or delays during implementation.
- Collaborate with business process owners and technical leads to document requirements and validate stakeholder needs.
- Prioritize user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Engage with executive teams, department managers, IT personnel, and end-users.
- Maintain strong relationships, provide regular updates, and manage expectations.
- Establish and track the project budget, reporting on variances.
- Identify project risks, develop contingency plans, and manage dependencies.
- Anticipate potential risks and devise effective solutions.
- Ensure the right team composition and coordinate with vendors and contractors.
- Execute comprehensive strategies to ensure the successful adoption of new ERP tools and processes.
- Oversee vendor relationships, ensuring timely deliverables and adherence to acceptance criteria.
- Continuously evaluate project effectiveness and adapt processes as needed. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- May require some travel.
- This position follows a hybrid work structure, working some days from the office and some remotely. Guidance will be shared during the interview process.
Required
Formal Education & Certification
Bachelor's degree (Four-year college diploma or university degree) or equivalent combination of education and experience in computer systems design or computer science, plus 10 years equivalent work experience and 5 or more years of supervisory experience of direct staff or external vendors.
Knowledge & Experience
- 7+ years of project management and/or agile experience.
- Thorough understanding of agile methodologies, values, and procedures.
- Thorough understanding of the software development lifecycle.
- Ability to understand technical issues and communicate with non-technical stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Familiarity with project management tools (i.e. Jira, Monday.com, etc) and ERP platforms.
- Proven ability to multitask and meet priorities. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and under minimal supervision.
- Experience developing and implementing change management strategies and plans.
- Fluency in English is required.
- Effective leadership, conflict resolution, and motivation skills
- Self-motivated and capable of managing multiple priorities and tasks as delegated.
- Team player with the ability to work within a collaborative and multi-cultural environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, and ability to work with diverse personality types.
- Ability to coach the team to reach their highest potential.
- Creative and efficient in proposing solutions to complex, time-critical problems.
- Collaborative in driving decisions.
- Ability to deal with multiple projects and deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.
- Sense of urgency
- PMP or other project management certification.
- Scrum master certification.
- Non-profit experience.
- Experience with specific ERP systems.
