The American Diabetes Association is seeking a Senior Manager, Partner Relations, reporting to the National Director of Partner Relations. In this strategic role, this individual will act as ADA’s point person for a portfolio of pharmaceutical and medical device accounts, ensuring healthy and productive relationships. The Senior Manager will execute deliverables that meet contract goals, deepen partner relationships, and drive revenue. The Senior Manager will collaborate closely with partner relations team members as well as other ADA subject matter experts to ensure account needs are met and exceeded.
Responsibilities
- Serve as an account manager, independently leading a portfolio of 10-15 medium size accounts ($250k-750k), propelling them for growth by providing day-to-day relationship management, business development and ongoing support.
- Develop both internal and external relationships to drive collective movement with the ability to build meaningful rapport and connections with people of different backgrounds and cultures.
- Generate new business and diversify the team’s revenue from national accounts, with a focus on six-figure relationships.
- Develop tools such as presentations, pitch decks, case studies, and one-pagers tailored for each account.
- Maintain accurate data in donor management system (CRM) for current and prospective partners.
- Orchestrate internal and external meetings for each account project, bringing together subject matter experts from across the organization and clarifying the role of each in supporting the success of the account. Ensure internal stakeholders understand account priorities.
- Build and deepen relationships?with account executives and other points of contact to identify opportunities for growth, innovation and continued alignment.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for ADA's reputation.
- Overnight travel may be required to support accounts, projects and organizational goals.

In addition, your professional skillset includes:
- Bachelor’s degree is required.
- 5-7 years of relevant experience in partnership development, account management, sales enablement and relationship building expertise.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as presentation skills
- Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment, as well as independently.
- Demonstrated ability to be a self-starter, problem solver and a goal-oriented team leader/player.
- Always meets deadlines and can achieve results in a team environment. The ability to manage and oversee projects to successful completion is mandatory.
- Positive, transparent, and engaging personality with a natural skill for developing professional relationships.
- Solid business acumen and experience establishing and building partner relationships.

- Industry competitive base pay ranging from $84,000 - $92,000 for this role. Base offers are determined by several factors including but not limited to your relevant work experience, education, certifications, location, internal pay equity, etc.
