Senior Product Manager - Healthcare Technology

Description

As a Product Manager, you will play a key role in transforming market and business challenges into detailed technical requirements for our product development team. You will work closely with both internal and external stakeholders to enhance existing products and develop new ones, reporting directly to the SVP, Head of Product.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with customers and prospects to understand their business needs and gather feedback on product direction and concepts.
  • Translate market and business needs into clear, actionable product requirements.
  • Prioritize activities and manage the product backlog based on business and customer impact.
  • Act as Agile Product Owner for assigned scrum teams.
  • Coordinate with sales and marketing teams for the successful roll-out of new products and enhancements.
  • Create and maintain a product roadmap for your assigned products.
  • Work with engineering teams to plan, monitor, and report on development schedules.
  • Ensure that solutions deliver the intended value.
  • Review release notes, user guides, and training materials; assist with functional and regression testing as needed.
  • Advocate for the product and customer to the scrum team, communicating broader business objectives and their relevance to projects.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures, including those governing PHI and PII.
  • Manage additional responsibilities as assigned.

Required Knowledge And Skills

  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools, including JIRA and Confluence.
  • Knowledge of healthcare data and interoperability standards, including APIs, IHE, HL7, FHIR, XML, and clinical data formats used in healthcare.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proven experience in managing ambiguity and working effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated success in a fast-paced or startup environment.
  • Ability to communicate recommendations effectively to executive management.
  • Proactive with a strong drive to deliver value, even in uncertain situations.

Required Experience

  • Experience in communicating product plans to customers and managing expectations.
  • Background in the healthcare market, including experience with EMR applications, health information exchange/interface platforms, and care management systems.
  • Previous experience as an Agile Product Owner.
  • Experience in SaaS product management.

Required Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Product Manager for technical healthcare products.
  • CSPO (Certified Scrum Product Owner) certification is a plus.
