The Human Resources Coordinator (HYBRID/Columbus, OH) assists in day-to-day operations including the administration of human resources policies, procedures, and programs. The individual in this role will be responsible for administrative tasks that support the Human Resources team and its clients dependent on leadership assignments and team needs. This role is located in Columbus, OH and will have a hybrid work schedule with 2 days/week in Avaap's headquarters.
Job Responsibilities
Completes administrative tasks within the following areas dependent on leadership assignments and team needs:
Onboarding
Leave of absence (including but not limited to FMLA, Disability, Personal, etc.
Offboarding
Benefits (including but not limited to open enrollment, new employee benefit setup, or routine benefit support needs)
401k plan
Employment verification
Employee recognition program
eLearning platform
Avaap’s Analyst Program (including but not limited to campus recruiting, interview scheduling, etc.)
Performance management
Promotion and pay increase processing
Supports compliance of Human Resources policies and procedures through awareness of changing regulations and state and federal policies
Intakes and handles inquiries from employees, and refers complex and/or sensitive matters to senior Human Resources team members, as needed
Ensures system and data integrity through accuracy in system maintenance and data entry
Assists in the facilitation of organizational culture events
Completes other related responsibilities as assigned based on business needs
Desired Experience And Skills
Academic studies or equivalent work experience related to Human Resources, Organizational Development, or similar discipline
Desire to learn Human Resources-specific knowledge and skills
Beginner skills in Human Resources related software and certifications e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Adobe, HRIS, LMS, etc.
Pay Transparency
Compensation for roles at Avaap varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific business unit, team, role, skillset, and level of experience. As required by law, Avaap provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired.
Base Salary Range is $59,000-60,000. At Avaap it is not typical to be hired at the top of the base salary range.
During the interview process, alignment to level will be determined and should level differ from position applied for, a new compensation range will be provided for the appropriate role.

Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills along with the ability to communicate effectively
Must be able to perform work indoors and remain stationary at a computer
Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment

Ability to work remotely or out of one of Avaap’s physical office locations
