Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for a Conveyor Guru (Application Engineer - Conveyance).

As the "Conveyor Guru" at G&P Automation, you will be our go-to expert for all things related to conveyor systems. Your primary responsibility will be to support the design of conveyor systems, providing technical expertise and ensuring we deliver the best possible solutions to our clients. You will be involved in creating conceptual layouts, selecting the right types of conveyors and identifying the best manufacturers, creating detailed drawings, and understanding controls and integration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Be a key voice on the solutioning team
• Provide expert support to the team during client engagements, offering insights and solutions for conveyor systems.
• Create and develop conceptual layouts for conveyor systems tailored to client needs.
• Collaborate with vendors to identify and select appropriate types of conveyors.
• Generate detailed drawings and schematics for conveyor system designs.
• Understand and integrate control systems to ensure seamless operation of conveyors within broader automation solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to conveyor systems.
• Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and optimize conveyor performance.
• Ensure all designs and implementations adhere to safety standards and protocols.

Qualifications:

• You get excited talking IO cards, roller diameter, belt thickness, speeds, and all things conveyor.
• You dream about totes and cartons flowing beautifully through a highly orchestrated system.
• A PandA isn't a bear to you, but it's just as adorable.
• Extensive expertise in conveyor systems, including design, implementation, and maintenance needs.
• Proven experience in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to conveyors.
• Strong knowledge of safety standards and protocols within the conveyor industry.
• Proficient in data analysis with the ability to identify areas for improvement.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
• Experience in automation or logistics is highly desirable.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
