Reposibilities

The Senior Material Planner is responsible for demand and supply management of materials, focused on Apparel & Accessories. This individual will develop the materials production plan that matches materials capacity with forecasted demand to support on-time delivery. This role's primary responsibility is the management of material capacity vs. demand, understanding the driving forces impacting the material forecast and communication of the recommended production plan to support on-time delivery.
  • "Win Now” / Run the Business:
  • Analyze of material demand and production for Tier 2 vendors.
  • Manage materials demand and supply across a set group of vendors.
  • Execute capacity mitigation processes to ensure on-time production of materials to support our finished goods production plan.
  • Partner with Materials Management & Supply Planning teams in the resolution of delivery issues between material vendors and finished goods manufacturing partners.
  • Create the Future:
  • Identify and resolve gaps within the current materials planning function.
  • Develop, train and implement new capabilities within own team and with key partners, leveraging new Material Planning enterprise solution.
  • Represent Materials Planning at key cross-functional stakeholder engagements.
  • Develop strong collaborations across the Materials ecosystem.
Skills And Experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3-5 years of experience in Supply Chain, Planning (Supply, Demand, Materials, etc.), Manufacturing and/or Logistics functions
  • Understanding of Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) basics, Demand, Production and Capacity Management, including key metrics. Ability to interpret driving factors and implement corrective actions.
  • Understanding of Manufacturing best practices and key metrics. Ability to evaluate and recommend improvements in manufacturing strategies to meet inventory and service objectives.
