Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Staff Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining the financial health of our organization by handling a range of accounting tasks, including accounts payable and receivable, commission reconciliation, financial reporting, and ensuring the accuracy of our financial records.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the accounts payable process, including invoice processing, transaction verification, statement reconciliation, and discrepancy resolution
• Manage accounts receivable functions, such as invoice generation, payment posting, outstanding balance tracking, and follow-up on late payments
• Accurately calculate and process commissions for payroll within set deadlines
• Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts to ensure financial record accuracy
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures
• Contribute to the documentation and monitoring of internal controls
• Support audits by providing necessary information and documentation
• Process ACH transactions
• Identify and implement process improvements and participate in special projects as needed
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements
  
  
  
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the accounting field
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks; experience with Salesforce is a plus
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines consistently
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
