Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Structural Engineer to join our team in a full-time remote capacity. The Structural Engineer will play a crucial role in designing and analyzing steel and metal building structures, with a particular emphasis on pre-engineered metal buildings. This position requires a strong background in structural engineering, including performing calculations, conducting structural analyses, and utilizing computer-aided design (CAD) tools. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of pre-engineered metal building design and experience with relevant structural engineering software.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed structural calculations and analyses to ensure the safety and integrity of steel, metal, and hybrid building packages.
  • Design and detail pre-engineered metal buildings, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
  • Utilize CAD software to create accurate and detailed designs for building packages.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and optimize building designs, integrating input from various stakeholders.
  • Ensure that all designs meet the necessary safety, efficiency, and aesthetic requirements.
  • Utilize structural engineering software such as MBS, RISA, RAM Elements, etc., to support design and analysis tasks.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and clients, providing technical expertise and guidance throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • Proven expertise in structural engineering, including calculations, structural analysis, and design.
  • Strong experience in designing and detailing steel and metal building structures.
  • Specific experience with pre-engineered metal building design is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software.
  • Knowledge of structural engineering software such as MBS, RISA, RAM Elements, etc.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to address complex engineering challenges.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate in a remote work environment.
