Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Structural Engineer to join our team in a full-time remote capacity. The Structural Engineer will play a crucial role in designing and analyzing steel and metal building structures, with a particular emphasis on pre-engineered metal buildings. This position requires a strong background in structural engineering, including performing calculations, conducting structural analyses, and utilizing computer-aided design (CAD) tools. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of pre-engineered metal building design and experience with relevant structural engineering software.
Key Responsibilities
Perform detailed structural calculations and analyses to ensure the safety and integrity of steel, metal, and hybrid building packages.
Design and detail pre-engineered metal buildings, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
Utilize CAD software to create accurate and detailed designs for building packages.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and optimize building designs, integrating input from various stakeholders.
Ensure that all designs meet the necessary safety, efficiency, and aesthetic requirements.
Utilize structural engineering software such as MBS, RISA, RAM Elements, etc., to support design and analysis tasks.
Communicate effectively with team members and clients, providing technical expertise and guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
Proven expertise in structural engineering, including calculations, structural analysis, and design.
Strong experience in designing and detailing steel and metal building structures.
Specific experience with pre-engineered metal building design is highly preferred.
Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software.
Knowledge of structural engineering software such as MBS, RISA, RAM Elements, etc.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to address complex engineering challenges.
Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate in a remote work environment.
