Supply Chain Advisor

Location: Commerce City, CO

Summary:

As an SCM Advisor, you will drive current contracting work progresses via collaboration with the Contracting Team and business stakeholders. You will identify issues and improvement opportunities to improve materials and services availability at competitive prices for the environment. You will support the development, implementation, and compliance of annual and longer-term contract strategy plans. You will also be involved in procurement activities to support our Maintenance, Capital Projects, and Turnaround Activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• Post-secondary education required with a preference for a relevant degree (business, supply chain management, technical fields that support the oil & gas industry)

• Minimum four years' SCM experience covering procurement, material management, master data and with a focus area in contracting and Supplier Management

• Strong advisory skills: able to advise leaders and cross functional teams

• Displays a combination of professional and technical knowledge related to Supply Chain Management (SCM) practices and processes, training, preparation, and practical experience

• Extensive working experience/proficiency with SAP system will a plus: SAP S4, Ariba, Fieldglass etc.

Responsibilities:

• At a site level, drive current contracting work progress including sourcing, clarifications, evaluation, negotiation, recommendation, and award of the contracts

• Contribute to contract/category strategy formation with business demand input/integration

• Support contract rollout and site contract compliance- evaluate and report on KPIs on spend leakage, provide training sessions on contract summary and ad-hoc support to site users to improve business knowledge on SCM processes

• Improve Procurement Reference Tool (Category Strategy)

• Proactively monitor contracts and update as required to ensure scope, timeline, funding etc. remains relevant to the work being undertaken and aligned with strategy

• Participate in contract workplan development (locally and corporately) on a 1-3 year time horizon

• Support supplier management activities including performance monitoring, identification, and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives, KPI measurement, etc.

• Drive cost savings / cost avoidance by the implementation of strategic agreements and active monitoring of contract adherence

• Provide guidance to supply chain peers, and to the business, on contract strategy, relevance, coverage, legal interpretation, and similar

• Support incident investigations and troubleshooting (payment, vendor administrative data, account registrations, etc.) with key contracted suppliers

• Complete system-based contract administration including the upload and workflow of various documents per company policy, as well as input both direct and batch changes to update rates, material masters and service masters

• Support procurement work as needed

• Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday, with the potential for extended work hours based on business needs
