The PT SIPP Therapist is responsible for providing Art Group Therapy to youth in the residential setting. The therapist will lead and facilitate group therapy to address needs outlined in the clients treatment plan.
Recognizes and reports signs and symptoms of abuse and neglect.
Progress notes contain clinically appropriate data submitted in a timely manner.
Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of client needs based on the age and functioning level of the client.
Ensures all treatment team members are educated and instructed on individual needs that are pertinent to clients stay.
Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of the clients needs based upon the age and functioning level of the client.
Provides education to client and parent/guardian regarding special needs of the client according to the clients abilities.
Conducts clinically appropriate number of family support group sessions.
Models appropriate and professional behavior (i.e., dress, habits, personality, tact, etc.).
Relates with clients, parents, peers and the general public in a respectful and professional manner in person and phone interaction.
Performs other duties that may be assigned.
Salary: $25.00 per hour. (Flexible afternoon/weekend hours (approximately 15hours per week).
Requirements
Master's Degree Required.
Certified Art Therapist is Required.
1-3 years of therapy experience using art techniques/interventions.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational skills
Proficient in computer programs and software
