Role Description:

This is a full-time remote role for a Utility Energy Manager. We are looking for someone who has 10+ years of experience or more in this role.


There are two parts to this role:

  • The first part is managing the utility bill upload to our energy management software to help support our efficiency program.
  • Additional experience includes; cost avoidance, utility bill analysis for implemented energy efficiency projects, measurement & verification, write energy efficiency reports, and create great relationships with our clients.


  • The second part is managing and benchmark the energy use of our clients building in accordance with State regulatory compliance.


The Utility Bill Manager provides a single source to analyze portfolio-wide data from energy, water, and other utility bills to assess energy performance, identify areas for continuous improvement, and establish key performance indicators.


Responsibilities Include;


  • Entering all monthly utility bills into the utility management, web-based software.
  • Utility bill energy analysis; review bills, check units of measure, check load factor, understand rate schedule.
  • Become fluent in our utility & energy management software.
  • Maintaining client relationships.
  • New client account setup.
  • Running quarterly client energy efficiency reports.
  • Maintain project management timelines using google docs or other project management software.
  • Expert in ENERGY STAR Portfolio
  • Experts in benchmarking and knowledgeable in regulations for State of Colorado and Energize Denver.



What We Would Like To See From You

  • Degree in Architecture, Mechanical Engineering or related fields
  • 10+ years of experience in Utility Energy Manager / Energy Analyst Role.
  • Proficiency in ENERGY CAP Software is plus but not required.
  • Certified Measurement & Verification Professional (CMVP) is a plus, but not required.
  • Certified Energy Manager (CEM) is a plus, but not required.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and cloud-based software such as DropBox and GoogleDrive.
  • Experience and high proficiency with xcel spreadsheets, data entry, formulas, and data manipulation.
  • Meticulous and detailed oriented.
  • Works remotely, virtual office.
  • Passion for energy efficiency.
  • Provide deep care and support for our clients.
  • Self-motivating, ability to work with a level of autonomy.
  • Great time-management skills.
