Veterans Services Coordinator

Responsibilities Under minimal supervision, the Veterans Services Coordinator supports the Director of Veterans and Military Affairs in the day-to-day administration of programs, resources and services that address the educational, social and cultural needs of Military and Veteran Students. Working in partnership with other University offices, including (but not limited to) the Offices of Admissions and Recruitment, Financial Aid, Registrar and Academic Advising, this individual will work to ensure a smooth transition from military to civilian life (if appropriate), whether the Military or Veteran Student is enrolled in a traditional, evening or online program. Reports to the Director of Veterans and Military Affairs. This is a grant-funded position. Qualifications A Bachelor's degree and at least three years' experience in counseling, social work, or related field is required. A Master's degree is preferred. Requires two to five years of demonstrated related experience with working in Military or Veteran's Affairs and a good understanding of the recruitment, engagement, retention and record-keeping of/for Military and Veteran Students. The equivalent combination of education and related work experience may be considered. Qualified Veterans are encouraged to apply.
