Our client is an established national financial services company seeking a hands-on VP Human Resources to oversee employee relations and recruiting nationally in their call center environments. Experienced, collaborative management team; financially stable; growing client base; opportunity to learn and grow. Occasional interstate travel.


The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in execution of HR strategy and initiatives. Reporting to the SVP of HR, you will ensure alignment with the company's strategic objectives and focus on key areas such as workforce planning, talent acquisition, onboarding, succession planning, employee relations and retention, and performance management.


Responsibilities:

  1. Partner with SVP of HR and Training department to develop and implement a comprehensive workforce planning model.
  2. Oversee full-cycle recruiting efforts, ensuring effective sourcing, selection, and onboarding of talent, with a focus on high-volume, low-wage positions.
  3. Forecast staffing needs in the call center and adjust recruiting strategies accordingly.
  4. Design and implementation of onboarding programs that promote employee engagement and productivity.
  5. Develop succession plans to ensure continuity and minimize disruption.
  6. Analyze turnover data, identify root causes, and implement retention strategies to reduce agent turnover and improve overall employee retention.
  7. Oversee the performance management process, ensuring clear goals, regular feedback, and effective performance reviews.
  8. Manage employee relations issues, conduct investigations, resolve conflicts, and ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  9. Build and lead a high-performing HR team, providing coaching, development opportunities, and fostering a collaborative and inclusive culture.


Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required; Master's degree preferred.
  2. 10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, including experience in a high-volume, low-wage environment such as customer support contact centers, tech support or collections.
  3. Demonstrated success in developing and implementing HR strategies and programs that drive business results.
  4. Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations, with experience in managing compliance and mitigating legal risks.
  5. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence at all levels of the organization.
  6. Data-driven and analytical, with experience in leveraging HR metrics to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
