Vice President of Financial Strategy and Operations

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic finance professional to support our C-Suite and Executive Leadership Team with insightful data and strategic guidance. In this key role, you will play a crucial part in driving our company's growth and innovation through your financial expertise.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Accounting & Reporting

  • Lead and manage accounting operations, including inventory, fixed assets, accounts payable, payroll, and tax filings.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements in compliance with GAAP and review reconciliations of cash accounts.
  • Collaborate with external accountants for financial compilations and tax returns.
  • Partner on ERP software selection and implementation.

Financial Planning, Analysis, and Management Insight

  • Drive the annual budgeting process with the Executive Leadership Team and analyze monthly budget variances.
  • Support capital budgeting and investment return analysis.
  • Track project expenditures and budget variances.
  • Prepare financial communications for all levels of the company, offering relevant insights.
  • Analyze financial data to aid decision-making across various business functions.
  • Manage KPI data collection and reporting to ensure effective cash and investment management.

Executive Leadership and Management

  • Oversee compliance with regulations, optimize performance, and mitigate risks with external advisors.
  • Hire and develop a finance team, providing necessary training and performance management.
  • Serve as a liaison with external partners and consultants, managing costs and negotiating terms.
  • Set and review strategies that align with the company's vision and values while ensuring financial health.
  • Lead the Finance department, establishing clear priorities and performance measures.

Qualifications

  • Over 10 years of experience in Finance/Accounting leadership, with at least 7 years in senior roles within a direct-to-consumer product environment.
  • CPA certification or MBA is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of financial procedures, GAAP principles, and ERP software.
  • High standards of integrity, confidentiality, and ethical business practices.
  • Effective communication skills with non-financial leaders and diverse audiences.
  • Ability to analyze complex information, solve problems, and make strategic decisions.
  • Skilled in relationship building and collaboration across teams.
  • A forward-thinking approach and a willingness to learn and grow.
