Violin Teacher

Lowell School in Washington DC is seeking a Violin teacher to teach private lessons to children. This position begins in September and works closely with the Director of After School Music. It is also a plus if you have experience working with young children.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of teaching experience
• Positive and friendly attitude
• Passion for working with children; ability to motivate and support children in reaching high levels of academic success.
• Belief in the value of enrichment education for all children
• Previous experience working with children.
  
  

Major Responsibilities

• Create dynamic lesson experiences to ensure students are challenged and inspired.
• Provide a one-to-one teaching experience in the area of music creation
• Show evidence of adapting and differentiated instruction for all students
• Maintain complete and accurate records
• Develop and maintain genuine, positive and consistent communication with parents
