Yesterday evening, our company-wide team meeting turned into something truly special. We played a simple yet powerful game: each of us shared one fond (and sometimes mischievous) event from our lives. What unfolded was incredible. From stories of bunking classes to catch a movie to sneaky antics like altering results, the room was filled with laughter and surprises. We also got a glimpse into each other's worlds—our families, our upbringings, and what shaped us into the individuals we are today. For some, the stories were especially fascinating. Who would have thought that the person who once bunked school for weeks is now managing complex projects with precision? It's amazing how life takes us on unexpected journeys—often leading us to roles we never imagined we'd excel at. This activity wasn’t just fun—it was a reminder of the transformative power of growth and adaptability. It also strengthened our connections, fostered trust, and gave us a newfound appreciation for the diverse paths that led us to this team. Moments like these show that behind every colleague is a story—full of lessons, laughs, and surprises. Here’s to more such experiences that bring us closer and remind us of the human connection at the heart of every great team. 💡✨ Have you had moments like these with your team? Share your stories below—we’d love to hear them! 👇

They say time goes by in the blink of an eye – and the past decade certainly has! Today marks my 10-year anniversary at Bausch + Lomb and I couldn’t be more grateful for the lessons learned, moments shared and the amazing team of people (too many to tag) I get to work with every single day. Looking back, here 10 of the top things I’ve learned: 🏢 Transitioning from clinical care to industry was a rewarding challenge. While my experience in the military helped me adjust, the journey was far more complex – but it was beyond worth every step. 🫶Take advantage of opportunities to give back. I've had the pleasure of supporting locally and nationally, both for my own team and also for organizations like Community Hope, TerraCycle, Guide Dog Foundation for the Blind, and others. One of the greatest things we can do is use our resources to help those in need. 💬 Feedback fuels progress. Giving and receiving even the smallest pieces of feedback add up into something much bigger, helping us be 1% better every day ✨ The potential to impact patients extends far beyond what we see. Being part of something bigger in a business-focused role has shown me the importance of our work and why it matters so much. 🤝 Mentorship is a two-way street. You’re never too experienced to learn from others – or too early in your career to share what you’ve learned. 💖 Make time for things that matter most. Improving eye care is important. So is being there for loved ones. No matter how busy life gets, always remember to put people first. 👩💼Never underestimate the power of a great coworker. I am lucky to have too many to count, but my partner-in-crime, Leslie Silva has had a tremendous impact on me and the work our team is doing across North America. 🥳 Celebrate every win. Work is a lot better when you have fun together and appreciate the journey along the way. 🌱 Growth happens when you push yourself beyond your comfort zone. The path isn’t straightforward and you have to rise to new challenges each day. From product development to marketing and so much more, each challenge has taught me something new. ➡️ When you think you’ve done all that you can, do a little more. The extra effort can make all the difference in the lives of patients and the doctors who count on us. While I can’t see the future, I do know that it will be just as bright, adventuresome, and inspiring as the past decade with B+L. Here’s to the next chapter of growth, learning, and new possibilities on the horizon! #Growth #EyeCare #Leadership Leslie Silva Dan Hook Dinesh Guglani Kristen Hovinga Keith Donley Daniel Gates John Ferris Kelly Curia-Schmidt Mary Teryek Kevin Fahy Mark Hennessy Michael Van de Ven Sean McNeill Ryan Beck, O.D. The passion, collaboration, and innovative spirit of our annual gathering always reminds me how Akeeders unite around our core values that drive us forward: Customer Centricity: Every conversation and activity here revolves around understanding our travelers’ needs first, then innovating beyond them. Curiosity: From brainstorming new features to connecting with peers from different departments, we spark meaningful questions that drive our next breakthroughs. Competency: The dedication and expertise of our teams shine through in every idea pitched, every solution developed, and every success celebrated. Creativity: We challenge ourselves to reimagine every aspect of travel. That’s how we uncover new ways to serve our clients with a fresh perspective. It’s incredibly energizing to watch these values come to life in every conversation, idea, and initiative—fueling our mission to deliver seamless journeys to our customers. Here’s to another year of building, learning, and pushing boundaries—together!
Celebrating an Incredible Year with our Akeeders 🌟 As we gathered for our Annual Gathering, one thing was clear, our journey wouldn’t be possible without the dedication, passion, and hard work of our incredible team. 🚀 This past year has been filled with milestones, challenges, and breakthroughs, and through it all, we have shown unwavering commitment to innovation, collaboration, and excellence. Together, we’ve redefined corporate travel, pushed boundaries, and made a real impact.🏅💙

2025 is NOW! So grateful 🙏 and excited 👊 to join weavix this year and continue to support and honor the frontline workforce around the world! Is Covid in our rearview mirror? Sure. But that doesn't mean we can forget these passionate and committed workers who are working RIGHT NOW with awful legacy radios that barely work (or nothing at all). They are the heart and soul of world! It's been a few weeks now since I started and I've honestly never seen so much talent concentrated to make a single mission a reality . In fact, I was telling our product leader on Monday that as new members WE MUST HONOR 🫡 the original intent and vision of the founding team. That is my personal pledge for weavix for 2025 as my team tells our unique story (stay tuned!). I also mentioned how awestruck I was that the ENTIRE SYSTEM from software to hardware to user journey (including onboarding!) just works - which means the customer can MOVE FAST and SAFELY which is the whole point of communications. Be SMART by having situational awareness. In other words, yes small things can always be improved but Walt Smart Radio by weavix can also be leveraged NOW by hundreds of thousands of workers. Lastly, I'm BLOWN AWAY that the OG weavix team (see my last YC post about staying lean as a startup) was able to launch a "device as a service" with companion messaging app on both Desktop and mobile beyond the device itself to connect everyone. Holy 💩! A REAL platform far beyond SaaS. The future of work on the frontline is definitely here in 2025. My 2025 TLDR is in the comments for anyone who's interested! 🌈
🌟 Happy New Year from the weavix team! 🌟 As we welcome 2025, we're so grateful for the opportunity to help connect every worker, no matter where they are or what language they speak. It's time to break down barriers to make teams stronger and more united than ever. Here's to a year of growth, connection, and teamwork! 🌍💬

This week, we hosted a virtual all-staff meeting at D'Ieteren, and I couldn't be more proud of the incredible teamwork and engagement from everyone involved. 10 of our talented colleagues took the stage, while another 10 worked tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure everything ran smoothly. We spent an hour discussing key topics and answering live questions from our colleagues. It was truly inspiring to see hundreds of you online, actively participating and sharing your thoughts. This event was a fantastic way to wrap up the first semester of the year, and it's clear that this won't be the last time we come together like this. Thank you to everyone who made this possible and to all who joined us. Here's to many more successful and collaborative sessions ahead!
