Our colleague Victor Khorenko, Director Future Competitiveness, AZUR SPACE Solar Power GmbH, was at École Polytechnique in Palaiseau recently, to present at the Space Photovoltaics for Energy Conversion in extra-terrestrial environment Workshop (SPECIAL PV workshop) organized by INES - Institut National de l'Energie Solaire and its partners. His presentation on AZUR’s New Generation of Radiation Hard III/V Solar Cells generated significant interest and was followed by a round table discussion on Trends and Challenges for Next-Generation Robust Space Photovoltaic Solutions, with the participation of AZUR, The Aerospace Corporation, UNSW, Fraunhofer-Institut für Solare Energiesysteme ISE, Commissariat a l'Energie Atomique et aux Energies Alternatives and Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. Thank you, Victor, for showcasing AZUR and 5N+’s leadership in solar cell technology during what proved to be a very interesting and insightful event! This week we attended the Space Power Workshop, organized by The Aerospace Corporation, in Torrance, California. Bringing together aerospace leaders from across the globe, the event’s objective was to discuss rapid and agile power systems and developing new norms for an evolving and contested space environment. Two of our colleagues hosted conferences during the event. Dr. Torsten Torunski, Senior Product Manager at AZUR SPACE Solar Power GmbH focused on #EnergyGeneration, while Jason Merrell, Ph.D., Director of Engineering and Technology Development at 5N+ Semiconductors LLC, addressed #Critical Ge Supply Chain. They were joined by Gervais Jacques, President and CEO of 5N+, Richard Perron, MSc MBA CPA (US), Chief Financial Officer of 5N+, and Roland Dubois, EVP, Specialty Semiconductors of 5N+. Thanks to The Aerospace Corporation for organizing such a compelling event. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Cette semaine, nous avons assisté au Space Power Workshop, organisé par The Aerospace Corporation, à Torrance, en Californie. Réunissant des leaders de l'aérospatiale du monde entier, l'événement avait pour objectif de discuter des systèmes d'alimentation rapides et agiles et de développer de nouvelles normes pour un environnement spatial en évolution et contesté. Deux de nos collègues ont animé des conférences lors de cet événement. Dr. Torsten Torunski, Gestionnaire principal des produits chez AZUR SPACE Solar Power GmbH animait une conférence sur le thème de la #ProductionEnergétique, tandis que Jason Merrell, Ph.D., Directeur de l’ingénierie et technologie chez 5N+ Semiconductors LLC, abordait le thème de la #Chaîne d’approvisionnement critique de Ge.
