Disability Pride Month is dedicated to the children yearning to see someone like them. Disability Pride Month is for the adults fearing judgment and feeling diminished. Disability Pride Month is for the brave souls demanding better. Disability Pride Month is for all of us. We don’t need hollow gestures or superficial campaigns. What we desperately need are genuine allies. Allies who can rise to influential positions and elevate disabled voices alongside them. Allies who engage, listen, learn, advocate, and drive real change. Join us in making a lasting difference. #DisabilityPrideMonth #DisabilityPride #DisabilityInclusion #WeAreBillionStrong #AXSChat #Equity #Access #SDGs ID: "Why do we need a month dedicated for disability?" written in white text on a purple background.

Now is a great time to reflect on your accessibility efforts! This can include accessibility of physical and digital workspaces, events, and of your website and online platforms. How do you support your employees with disabilities? Are they represented in leadership? Do they have access to an ERG or BRG? Disability means different things within the community and cannot have a one size fits all approach. Society revolves around the able-bodied person and barriers are not always physical - they can include stimulation and psychological factors as well. As an individual with invisible disabilities, I do my best to advocate for myself and others both inside and outside of the workplace, while recognizing the privilege of not having appearent or visible disabilities. This means taking the time to design communications, meetings, and programs around the most disadvantages individuals so that when rolled out, it is inclusive with as many people as possible. How does your organization support and advocate for its disabled population? #disabilitypride #invisibledisabilities #Inclusion

Today is National Disability Independence Day! In the United States, July 26 marks the annual recognition of National Disability Independence Day, commemorating the signing of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) into law in 1990. Introduced in 1988, the ADA builds on the progress of the Rehabilitation Act. July is a time to celebrate Disability Pride. Did you know 1 in 4 Americans identifies as disabled? Mental health conditions can be both a disability and a result of living with a disability. Globally, people with disabilities make up 15% of the population, representing all ages, races, ethnicities, genders, sexual orientations, religions, and socio-economic backgrounds. This month, we honor the identities, culture, and contributions of people with disabilities. Let's recognize that disability is a natural part of human diversity. While we've made progress, there is still more to do for true equality. Let's continue pushing for inclusion, accessibility, and support for all. #DisabilityPride #ADA #Inclusion #Accessibility #SupportForAll #MakeAnImpact

This July, National Centre for Promotion of Employment for Disabled People steps up for Disability Pride Month. We're not here for sugarcoating or empty platitudes. We're here to address the real issues facing the disability community. Disability isn't a limitation to be "overcome" – it's a fact of life for millions. We navigate a world often designed against us, from inaccessible buildings to discriminatory attitudes. This month, we celebrate our strength, not erase our struggles. NCPEDP recognizes the immense contributions of disabled people throughout history and across all fields. We demand a world where participation isn't a privilege, but a birthright. We need equal access to education, employment, and opportunities. We need a society that dismantles physical and social barriers, not just acknowledges them. Let's rewrite the narrative and build a future where disability is not a barrier, but a source of strength, innovation, and a full spectrum of human experience. #DisabilityPride #NCPEDP #DisabilityRights #EquityForAll
