There's more to a Taylor Swift concert than meets the eye. As hundreds of thousands of unaware patron’s flock to stadiums in Sydney and Melbourne, all eyes are on Taylor. Yet, these events wouldn't be possible without the tireless work of industry professionals who dedicate countless hours to set up. This is where Find Me Labour comes in. While we may not be Taylor Swift, we certainly know "All Too Well" the ongoing difficulties and planning that goes into these events. That's why FML has designed an easy-to-use application that will take one of the biggest problems out of the planning stage: finding industry professionals. Just like Taylor's song "Begin Again," each concert is a new start, requiring meticulous planning and execution. FML understands the importance of finding the right people for the job, ensuring that every aspect of the event, from "State of Grace" to "Enchanted," is executed flawlessly. Our platform streamlines the process, making it as smooth as "Red" and ensuring that you can "Stay Stay Stay" focused on the big picture. With FML, you can leave the "Trouble" of finding industry professionals behind and focus on creating an unforgettable experience for concertgoers. So, whether you're planning the next "Love Story" tour or a smaller event, FML is here to help you "Shake It Off" and make it a success. #swifties #getitdone #entertainment #findmelabour

Adelaide Fringe 2024 was a massive season and it took herculean efforts from everyone to get through! Incredible numbers attended, just over 1 million ticket sold and 4.6 million attendances .. (if anyone has questions about the difference between those numbers please ask! It's quite simple, there's lots of ways to attend that doesn't involve a ticketed show) it was fantastic to see so many tourists come to Adelaide for Fringe 2024 - they bought huge numbers of tickets and spent big in local hotels and restaurants. in many ways a big triumph, but of course there is more to the story and one of the scariest elements is the fact that festival presentation costs have gone up by about 30% in the last year or so .. the ticket sales were up by around 4% (1,040,305) and the average ticket price remained the same around $33. So it doesn't take much to look at the sums and realise it is very tough to make it all balance. Lots of festivals have cancelled and closed down in recent months because of these rising costs in the supply chains. We are going to work harder than ever to try raise enough money to shore up the Fringe in future - Adelaide Fringe is a precious jewel of the nation and we need all the help we can get to survive this storm.

So here’s my opinion. 👍 What a great advert for a great city. ‘You’re new arena isn’t ready? No problem, we’ll take that 35 truck tour and do it in our other arena’ Something no other city in the UK could do by the way. 💡Maybe this is a moment to build on. Maybe instead of being competitors we could see closer collaboration between these two giants to build on Manchesters reputation as an entertainment/sports centre. Let’s imagine a city based festival with both part of the picture. But, maybe that’s just wishful thinking on my part. 💭 In games world we talk a lot about legacy, let’s unpack that a little here. - the AO Arena opened in 1995, it was the first event I worked. It was built as part of an Olympic bid. Although the bid failed, it helped bring the Commonwealth Games to Manchester in 2002. - The Commonwealth Games needed a stadium, which was built and later became the home of Manchester City. - The Stadium, now Etihad Stadium grew to be a campus for sporting excellence. - The Campus is now home to Co-op Live arena. It’s having hard times, but it will open. It will be successful and all this termoil will fade into the background. And yes, I will be there on opening night too. 🔗 Like it or not. The paths of Manchester Arenas are linked and I’m proud of my association with both these venues. I’m proud of this city, its attitude and resilience. Its a place where I’ve spent many years and have many friends and colleagues. 🐝 I love the attitude of this city. “Think we can’t do it? Watch us!’” It’s been a difficult time. It’s regrettable that fans have been inconvenienced and disappointed in the past weeks. But, Co-op Live, will open, it will be a success and Manchester will have two giants of the event industry to be rightly proud of. 👀 Think differently? Watch us! Tay Tay Rockonomics - I don’t know if Taylor Swift will determine the Super Bowl winner or who will be the next American president, but she’s definitely determined the 2023 sector winner for Australian Discretionary spend. Tay Tay’s ERAS Tour phenomenon saw Agency Ticket & Live Theatre top Australia’s Discretionary Spend Charts with a whopping 16.9% year on year growth!!! – see Top Chart from ANZ. Not surprising as the ERAS tour is expected to gross over US$1 bn globally. Ticketing agencies are the “Lucky Ones” post COVID with Australians, and indeed, the rest of world more generally, flocking back to concerts. Compared to Pre-Covid (2019), the top 100 global tours in 2022 saw average tickets per concert increase 20% (from 12K to 15K) and ticket prices increase 13% (from US$95 to US$107) – see Bottom Charts from Pollstar. Interestingly, Barbenheimer wasn’t able to arrest the fall in Australian movie theatres with sector spend down 6.4% year on year - Top Chart red elipse. Side Note 1: the hugely successful Women’s World Cup and the Matilda’s dream run also had a strong positive impact on ticket agency sales. Side Note 2: Also worth noting the dramatic increase in Vape/Cigar store spend with a 19% final quarter year on year increase in the lead up to Vape bans in NSW. As the world’s middle class is at "Peak Stuff", experiences will account for an even larger share of discretionary spend, even in light of current cost of living pressures. The B2C retailers that understand this spend shift best, will be the ones that succeed. Talk to DataCo Technologies on how you can find the right data partnerships to understand this shifting market dynamic. #taylorswift #taytay #eras #erastour #Rockonomics #discretionaryspend #australianeconomy #retailers #livemusic #liveevents #livedexperience #musicindustry #dataanalytics #datainsights #vapeshop #vape #cigar #tobaccoindustry

Well, that game certainly didn't disappoint. And the market wasn't bad either. It still remains to be seen whether the powers that be (i.e., the casino owners) want Vegas to host another #SuperBowl, but it seems to have been a great day/weekend/week in Sin City. Let's have another great week by starting it with opening nominations for the Nice Guy/Gal Awards. Every Friday, I’ll share nominations for people who have been identified as nice guys (and gals). If you want to nominate someone, just shoot me a private message by 5:00 EDT on Thursday. There are only 3 requirements: 1) you have to be connected to the person you nominate 2) you can only nominate one person per week 3) you can’t nominate yourself 😀 If you want to provide a brief reason for your selection, that’s great, but it’s not a requirement. Let’s recognize people who make a difference simply by being nice. Have a great day, everyone. https://lnkd.in/ei8mg2Qa #network #sportsbiz #people #niceguy #networking #sportsmarketing

We need more regulation for event medical provision at events full stop. It’s time to stop using medical provision as a tick box exercise and choosing the cheapest provider and putting cost over people’s lives. I’ve lost count where people are more animated and interested in the number of toilets and urinals that there available instead of the inadequate level of medical provision. I must stress, this isn’t all events but it is becoming more and more it feels. More regulation, better and clearer “guidance”, more accountability. Just my personal view.

This is a good plan (and I don't say that often) and highlights that the region should be focussing on the brownfields of Parramatta before the greenfields of far western Sydney to minimise environmental impacts of new construction and long distance travel. This plan takes advantage of the City's location and its transport assets and potentials, correctly identifying missing Metro stations (Rosehill and Silverwater) that need to be accounted for, and missing links (Parramatta to Epping) that should be high priority.
A major new vision has been released for Parramatta as a city of five connected districts, built around a pitch for new Metro stations at Rosehill and Silverwater >> https://lnkd.in/gEwejccA The draft plan would build on Parramatta's rich cultural life to become an epicentre of creativity for Sydney, adding contemporary art, live music and nightlife venues to the ambitious work underway at Riverside Theatres and Powerhouse Parramatta. This would complement a bigger program of festivals, sport and entertainment, including a strong focus on esports. A continuous green corridor along the river from Lake Parramatta to Sydney Olympic Park, with world leading First Nations partnerships and globally connected university campuses, completes the vision. The draft Parramatta 2050 plan is on public exhibition until Friday 19 July >> https://lnkd.in/gQVf3j7X Gail Connolly PSM, Angela Jones-Blayney, City of Parramatta, Augusta Supple, Aileen Robalino, Michael Jollon, Pierre Esber, Donna Davis, Australian Turf Club, Steve McMahon, Jo Haylen, David Borger, Tom Nance, Dr Rhonda Itaoui, PhD, Patricia Prociv, Anthony Segaert, Craig McMaster, Lisa Havilah, Georgina Valjak, Anne Loxley, Emily McDaniel, Josh Murray, Helen Machalias, Annette Pitman, Jeremy Kelshaw, Clare Holland, Nikki Brogan, Powerhouse, Riverside Theatres, Katherine (Katie) Papagianis, Cred Consulting, Emilia Hallström, Belinda Comninos, Astrolabe Group
