Hi Ever wondered about the benefits of mindfulness? Feeling stressed and/or anxious about life and/or work? I've been training in how best to share what I've learned from meditation and mindfulness, and am in the final stages of gaining accreditation to teach the Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction programme. It's an eight week course comprising of a two hour session every week (taught online via Google Meet). I already have a enough participants, but would to add a couple more to create a wider sense of group community. It's totally free (I will be charging the recommended standard rate of £220 once I'm qualified). All I ask is that you only agree to taking part if you're completely committed to turning up to each session and taking part for the duration of the course. If you'd be interested in taking part please let me know - you can find out more and sign-up on this (rather basic) page: https://lnkd.in/em3yjtG2 Cheers :-)

Do you practice the 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 technique when you feel triggered or stressed? This method is one of the easiest mindfulness strategies designed for managing stress and anxiety, as it can be done almost anywhere and at any time. It can also improve your overall emotional regulation and make you feel more grounded. Give it a try next time you want to help calm your mind 🧠 How to do the 54321 technique: Simply look around you and really notice: 5 things that you can see (is there anything you’ve never really noticed before?) 4 things you can touch, 3 things you can hear, notice 2 smells (if relevant), finally notice if there is a taste in your mouth Now check in with your body again. How do you feel now, in this moment? #groundingtechnique #groundingexercise

Mindfulness is a gateway to self-awareness. It’s important to be aware of how you feel internally and how you feel about the world around you. These #affirmations describe an ideal state of mind; repeat them out loud and notice how they make you feel inside. #PositiveAffirmationGuide #Blimish

Episode 210 | The Daily Dose: Finding Calm Amidst the Storm: Mindfulness and Relaxation Strategies for Coping with Anxiety In my latest YouTube video, I share powerful techniques to help you manage anxiety and find inner peace. As a clinical psychologist, I've seen firsthand how mindfulness and relaxation strategies can transform lives and provide relief from the overwhelming symptoms of anxiety. Mindfulness is all about being present in the moment, observing your thoughts and emotions with compassion and curiosity. By anchoring yourself in the here and now, you can find a sense of stability and calm, even in the face of life's challenges. In the video, I guide you through simple yet effective mindfulness practices, such as: Mindful breathing Body scan meditation Progressive muscle relaxation Guided imagery These techniques can help you develop a greater awareness of your body, release physical tension, and promote a sense of deep relaxation. Remember, incorporating mindfulness and relaxation into your daily life is a skill that requires practice and patience. Be kind to yourself as you embark on this journey of self-discovery and healing. While these strategies can be incredibly helpful, they are not a substitute for professional treatment. If you're struggling with severe or persistent anxiety, please don't hesitate to reach out to a mental health professional for support. You are not alone in this journey. Every step you take towards self-care and inner peace is a step in the right direction. Check out the full video on my YouTube channel for a guided experience of mindfulness and relaxation. #MindfulnessMatters #RelaxationTechniques #AnxietyRelief #SelfCare #MentalHealthAwareness #TheDailyDose #MentalHealthMatters
