💥 Fenceless Book Production with AIRSKIN at Liberdúplex Liberdúplex is the third-largest printing house in Spain, boasting 60 years of passion for books 📚 Faced with limited production space, a space-saving alternative was sought. Teaming up with robot manufacturer KUKA and integrator LARGOIKO SLL, the solution was found - a KUKA Cybertech with AIRSKIN. This setup enables handling payloads of up to 20 kg, with a reach of 1.8 m and fenceless speeds up to 2 m/s. Equipped with a gripper developed by LARGOIKO SLL and AIRSKIN Safetyflange 20, we enable an application with the highest fenceless speed and maximum fenceless safety. The process involves palletizing books onto a dedicated platform. Books are placed on a conveyor belt, pushed together using a V-outlet, and then palletized onto the palette by a KR 20 R1810-2 robot.
