🎙️ Tune in to the latest episode of Additive Manufacturing Media's Cool Parts Show podcast that showcases our 3D Printed Spacer Grids! We collaborated with Carnegie Mellon University to design a new, additively manufactured grid using laser powder bed fusion. #3Dprinted spacer grids can: ✔️ Minimize the total part count ✔️ Enhance speed production ✔️ Reduce cost ✔️ Enable new or adapted component designs Bill Cleary, Lead Engineer in Digital and Innovation, explained that the #SpacerGrid project enabled our team of experts to modify the construction process of items that were previously considered challenging to produce using #AdditiveManufacturing. #3Dprinting Hear more from Bill about the project 👉 https://bit.ly/4airY2L

The use of #WAAM technology is becoming increasingly popular across various industries such as Nuclear, Hydro, and Oil & Gas. At MX3D we 3D print more and more applications for the Energy sector. Valves, pressure vessels, impellers, pumps, propellers, emergency clamps and more. Our International Welding Engineers (IWE) ensure that all parts are manufactured in compliance with standard requirements such as API20S. With sensors like our 3D Scanner, we reach full digital control and quality assurance in ‘first-time-right’ printing of one-offs and emergency parts. Casting and forging have increasingly long lead times. Besides improved lead times and increased quality, industries are turning to WAAM solutions as they can also have strong reduction in cost and manufacturing footprint. A 75KG flange for example we 3Dprinted in 24 hours. And we can 3D print in almost any alloy you like. So we can fairly say: We have got you covered! If you're looking to begin medium-to-large scale 3D metal printing, or if you need metal printing services, don't hesitate to reach out to Daan Kemme or Pierre Freneau #MetalAM #Metal3Dprinting #Robotics #Roboticwelding #DED #WAAM #HighDepositRate #IndustrialValve #OilandGas #Nuclear #Energy #API20S

Amazing story on the use of #3dprinting at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory for development of sustainable (and self-sustaining) #nuclearfusion #energy. I've been arguing for a while that #additivemanufacturing's capability to produce extremely complex geometries will play a major role in most new approaches to developing nuclear fusion capabilities. This is next level.
3D printing really is permeating all industries - with some applications being far more significant than others. This news from Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory is one such example! Check out VoxelMatters to learn more. #3dprinting #additivemanufacturing #energy #nuclear #sustainability
