Today, I want to talk about something that’s important to me – teaching our children philanthropy. ➡ Teaching our kids about giving isn't just a good-to-have; it's a game-changer. Instilling empathy early on helps them to connect with others on a deeper level. ➡ Philanthropy isn't just about writing checks; it's about feeling responsible for the world around us. When our children understand that they have the power to make the world a better place. ➡ In today's global world, it's vital to raise our kids to think beyond borders. Philanthropy introduces them to the world's big issues, turning them into global citizens who care about making the planet a better home for all. ➡ The younger generation are the leaders of tomorrow, and we want them to lead with heart. Philanthropy instills the values that make them heroes of their own stories. Here's to raising a generation that's not just book-smart but heart-smart too.

There has been a lot of recent conversation around this model. Here's our take: Trust-based philanthropy upturns traditional ideas around accountability through intentional, authentic relationship-building between funder and grantee partners. Within this new dynamic of reciprocity and mutual accountability, funders come to understand and value the lived experience of grantees.
