I’m not your typical COO 👇 Less than 22% of all COOs are women. Less than 10% of COOs are between 30-40. I’m 33 and a woman, so not sure what percentage that makes me but I’m in a minority. I don’t follow the status quo, I lead with empathy and with my heart - in previous roles I’ve been told I’m too soft, too emotional. But I will never change who I am. I believe that everyone deserves a chance, I don’t believe in hiring purely based on what’s written on paper. Experience doesn’t always equal a good hire. I hire based on traits and qualities that I see in someone, that drive, the ability to not give up, that fire in someone who has a dream. Because I know what that feels like to have a dream and wanting someone to just give you a chance. I moved 14,000 miles to the other side of the world with my two kids and got a job and was made redundant over a 5 minute zoom call. I wrote hire me in crayons, and 6.5 million people saw that post. Someone gave me an opportunity and 2 years later I’m a COO and CMO for a tech company. Always remember the dream you have is possible, even if that odds are stacked against you, you can get that seat at the table.

🔥 Recently, we've been collaborating with an innovative beautytech startup, focused on elevating their game by building a robust senior team. The quest? Pinpoint the perfect New Product Development (NPD) Manager. This wasn't just about filling a vacancy; it was about finding a leader capable of steering the helm of creativity and execution. Our approach - Thorough, precise, and tailored. Our methodology isn't just effective—it's transformative. We meticulously combed through the industry to present around 10 candidates, each with a proven track record in NPD. But here's where it gets exciting... our client was so impressed with the quality of candidates that they expanded their original plan, hiring not one, but three exceptional individuals. This is what success looks like: a client so satisfied with the options provided, they decide to amplify their team's potential. It's moments like these that fuel our passion and remind us why we do what we do 💥 We've honed our system to near-perfection, ensuring we consistently deliver top-tier talent to our clients. Are you facing hurdles in assembling your dream team? Let's have a conversation. I think the biggest step in the Just Socials 2 years history. Hiring another Director, I never thought I would be in a position to do this but I read a quote a couple of months back saying you need to employ people that are strong at your weaknesses, and it’s so true…I am doing that. Let’s go 5 Year Growth Plan ✨🙏 #newbusiness #socialmediamarketingagency

You need people on your team who you can trust. Who want to see you/your org succeed. Who push people out of their comfort zones in a positive way and move everyone toward their goals. Get yourself an Ashley Amber Sava. (As in, hire her, or, make sure you have an "Ashley" on your team-- professionally and personally). Ashley is: - Creative - Smart - Witty - Supportive - Curious - Determined - Clever - Focused - Flexible Not everyone will be fortunate enough to have the actual #ThatAshleyAmber on their team, but I feel fortunate to have her as part of my circle. So, if you're #hiring in #contentmarketing, #communications, or #community, check out Ashley's profile. And make sure that your personal and professional network are filled with people who help you be better and support you through the challenges that personal and professional life will throw at you.

Hi friends! With the announcement of my new career services business, Kylie Michele Careers I wanted to talk about my vision, the inspiration behind the company and what it can do for you! For years I have negotiated with and built teams for some of the world’s top product and design leaders across companies like Airbnb, Reddit, Inc., Atlassian and Ironclad. For a while, being able to bring in women, Black, brown and disabled folks gave me my purpose. It showed me that I could have an amazing career while also bringing some good to the world. But at the end of the day, recruiters are on the company’s team - not yours. Now, the best recruiters are absolutely on your team, but we are pressured by recruiting leadership to churn and work at a pace that’s untenable. When I got laid off from Reddit after doing some of the best work of my life rebuilding their entire UX recruiting organization, it killed me. I had incredibly strong performance, I had made a huge difference to the company and I was working with really talented people. But that’s the nature of capitalism and recruiting. The thought of going back into recruiting during this nightmare market, where recruiters are either out of work or worked to the bone, sounded awful. I’m tired. I’ve done 5 years straight of hyper growth and the pace was killing me. So I decided to get out of the tech rat race. I decided to take a bet on myself, and use my knowledge and expertise and almost decade of experience recruiting to bring that knowledge to you. With companies making record profits and using the excuse of “it’s just business” when they are laying you off, taking away your source of income, livelihood - well then, in my opinion, it’s just business to enable workers as much as we possibly can. My programs and 1:1 strategic sessions are focused on that - giving the power back to you. Enabling you to take as much money from corporations to make sure you thrive. They are certainly doing that for themselves, why not you? Let’s rewrite the narrative. If tech is backed up by full HR teams, lawyers, finance teams, etc., why wouldn’t you deserve to be fully enabled too? I promise you, having a recruiter that knows the ins and outs of finance teams, hiring mangers, interview processes, will absolutely ensure you get a higher income, better titles and a full optimized career. You deserve it <3 Tell me in the comments what you want to know from a former recruiter that knows all the ins and outs of the business and check out my programs below; https://lnkd.in/gNYHVUEa

10k followers 👋 for the new and old connections, I'd like to introduce myself. Please excuse the cropped head, but I am on brand Pivotal London! After 7 years and 6 roles, a new picture was needed. Senior Manager at Pivotal London, leading our in-house marketing and product division. We have carved a real niche working with high growth VC/PE backed businesses to build leadership teams and internal functions. Our sweet spot and the core market has become the inception point between marketing, product and growth. 🚀 I have always loved working with ambitious founders and investors, taking new ideas and products to market as an extension of their brand and vision. I'd like to think story telling is a strength of mine! Outside work, I am a fitness, sports, and adventure fanatic. I love doing hard things! Otherwise, you'll find me behind a BBQ or bar enjoying myself. I was fortunate enough to relocate back to Bristol and the South West during the pandemic. But I find myself in London most weeks attending client meetings and work events. For me, the best of both worlds. As we make inroads into H2 and rebound out of #thegreatstay and a long period of low attrition, we are expecting an interesting end to the year. If you are hiring on your team, or looking to explore different talent solutions, drop me a DM. #growth #growthmarketing #GTM #marketing #product #talent #recruitment

📢🎯 Target Team Member Spotlight 🎯📢 Today I'd like to shine the spotlight on Ryan Raines! Ryan is a Senior Human Resources Specialist at the Distribution Center near Minneapolis, Minnesota. Check out what Ryan has to say below! #wearred #bullseye #bestteam Soraya Oriol Eric Satterfield, MBA Ethan Elgin How long have you worked at Target? - 9 weeks and counting! What previous roles have you held? - I was a Brand and Training Manager in the restaurant industry, a HR director for a salon group and a Human Resources Business Partner for a veterinarian hospital. What do you like most about working at Target? - What I love most about Target is its strong culture and commitment to inclusivity. From day one, during Target Welcome, I felt a genuine sense of belonging and shared purpose within the team. As a new team member, having the channels of support of mentors and peers has been incredibly valuable in learning the Target way. And, I must admit, the candy that other SHRSs keep at their desks is a "sweet" bonus! What would you tell someone who is interested in working at Target? - If you're interested in working at Target, I'd advise being authentic and transparent about your skillsets. It’s important to partner with current team members before and during the application process and leverage those insights. Be sure you're well-prepared and be confident in your experience-don’t hesitate to share and highlight your achievements! Also, be mindful with the team members you are working with in your interviewing and onboarding process, you will more than likely cross paths again in the future. Oh and you should probably be ready to have a few "Targetisms" in your vocabulary.
