🔧Innovating Beyond Boundaries: Building a Wind Tunnel In the development of one of our Nacelle product, we faced a significant hurdle: The need for a wind tunnel to accurately characterize the Nacelle's performance with controlled air streams. Booking access to wind tunnels is not only expensive, but difficult to book, leading to long wait times and increased costs. Instead of letting this obstacle slow us down, we built our own in-house wind tunnel. Building the wind-tunnel in house allowed for accelerated development with reduced costs, as well as a specialized wind tunnel suited for the Nacelle product. This initiative exemplifies our commitment to innovation and excellence. By investing in our own capabilities, we not only overcome industry challenges but also set new standards for quality and efficiency. Curious about how our in-house wind tunnel can benefit your projects? Let’s connect and explore the possibilities together. 🌟 #Innovation #Engineering #WindTunnel #ProductDevelopment

Designed for efficiency and durability, the C4 adjusts its performance based on sea conditions, capturing energy during regular waves while withstanding storms with waves up to 18.5 meters. Key stats about the C4: 1. 600kW peak power output during initial tests, with plans to upgrade to 850kW. 2. Proven ability to handle waves as high as 18.5 meters during testing off the coast of Portugal. 3. Compact design, delivering up to 5x more energy per ton compared to previous systems. The C4 is a significant step toward scalable, utility-scale wave farms, contributing to the clean energy mix.

🌊⚡ Spotlight on Sustainable Marine Electrification Yesterday's Understanding the Megawatt Charging System Workshop was a dynamic gathering of global experts from the marine industry. Their collective wisdom illuminated the path toward sustainable marine electrification. Here's a more detailed breakdown: Global expertise buzzed in our virtual room as representatives from shipyards, technology companies, regulatory bodies, and academia shared insights. Semih Tetik introduced the Megawatt Charging Systems (MCS) from the CharIN association's perspective, underlining the spirit of collaboration that permeated the workshop. Thane Gilman from the US Coast Guard highlighted safety, while Ted Bohn (J3271 convenor) discussed the importance of harmonized MCS standards, which sparked engaging discussions and further collaboration. Jim Andriotis, with extensive marine industry experience at Cavotec, presented valuable charging solutions. Afterward, we split into groups to delve deeper into topics like connection, grid & infrastructure, regulatory, customer & operations, and communication. The discussions were nothing short of amazing! CharIN eagerly anticipates follow-up workshops, starting with the Electric and Hybrid Marine event in Amsterdam: 🚢 Workshop: "Supplying Demand, Demanding Supply" Building the Maritime Market for the Megawatt Charging System Join CharIN, Crowley, American Bureau of Shipping (ABS), Black & Veatch, and other industry partners for a free in-person workshop at the Electric & Hybrid Marine Expo Europe. 📅 Thursday, June 20, 2024 🕒 10:45 am – 2:45 pm CET 📍 Electric and Hybrid Marine Expo Europe, Amsterdam Registration is still open; follow this link: https://lnkd.in/edWe7nDm Let's sail toward a greener, more sustainable future! ⚡🌎🌊⚡ CharIN Academy #MegawattCharging #sustainability #CharIN #workshop #electrichybridmarineexpo #MCS #MarineElectrification #Sustainability #CleanEnergy #CharINAcademy #Marine

🎉 Artelys is proud to take part in a new project focusing on the environmental impacts of electric mobility deployment in France towards 2035. The study has been commissioned by ADEME and is being carried out in collaboration with I Care. 💡 This study includes a complete analysis of the environmental impacts of electric road mobility (passenger cars, trucks, and road public transportation), from the installation of charging stations and the manufacture of electric vehicles to electric vehicles charging on the French electricity grid. Several scenarios are considered for the evolution of the vehicles park, based on the work of Transition(s) 2050 by ADEME, and the associated charging trends. The evolution of the electricity production assets towards 2035 is based on RTE’s BP 2023 – 2035. ⚡ The Artelys Crystal Super Grid modelling solution will be used to analyse the impacts of electric mobility deployment on the need for transmission network reinforcements, investment in peaker capacities and the the nature of the hourly electricity production and its associated environmental impacts. Additionally, the reinforcement needs at the distribution network level will be estimated using a tool developed during the NEXT project, which is supported by ADEME. 👉Artelys Crystal Super Grid modelling tool: https://lnkd.in/eWffzMP 👉NEXT project: https://lnkd.in/eGAGVETu 👇 Find out more about our other studies carried out for ADEME: https://lnkd.in/dyDqsBtT
