In the digital world we live in, finding a new job can actually be difficult. Between scams, fake jobs and the time it takes to research & vet prospective companies, it is challenging! I think working with a recruiter is a good start to understand what the market is and where you fit in. I have spoken to a number of people who have been laid off after dedicating 5, 10, 20 years to the same organization. What they tell me is, "I don't know where to start" and "I haven't had to make a resume in years" or "I haven't been on an interview in so long!"
