This April, we want to raise awareness for #OralCancer. AFCR has been supporting the technology developed by Privo Technologies Inc that will be presented at the 2024 American Association for Cancer Research Conference. Privo is dedicated to pioneering innovative therapies for fatal mucosal cancers, with a primary focus on oral cavity cancer, which is a huge burden in the Asian population. At AFCR, we're deeply committed to supporting breakthroughs that tackle cancer among underserved populations. Your donations to AFCR enable us to fund vital research and initiatives aimed at combating oral cancer and more: https://lnkd.in/e_cVaNfs #AFCR #OralCancerAwareness #OralCancer #MucosalCancer #AACR2024 #CancerResearch #Innovation

February is Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month in Australia Every year, 1,800 Aussie women and a quarter-million globally face the devastating diagnosis of ovarian cancer. If diagnosed at Stage I or Stage II, the survival rates are >90%, but if diagnosed late, survival is only 29% beyond 5 years As most cases are diagnosed in advanced stages, more awareness and research for early detection, and treatment are needed. If you’d like to fundraise for or donate to @OvarianCancerResearchFoundation, visit https://lnkd.in/gqcTz2Du Let's save lives together! #OvarianCancerAwareness #Australia2024 #ResearchForChange #OvarianCancerResearchFoundation

What is Barrett's Oesophagus? Barrett’s Oesophagus occurs when persistent or long-term acid reflux damages the normal inner lining of the oesophagus. Over time, the lining of the oesophagus is damaged, the cells change, and abnormal cells can develop. It is not cancer but a pre-cancerous condition known as Barrett’s Oesophagus. A small number of people (less than 1%) with Barrett’s Oesophagus go on to develop Oesophageal Cancer. Please visit our website www.ocf.ie for more info on the work of the Oesophageal Cancer Fund (OCF) #earlydetection #support #community #charity #research #fightingcancer

Understanding cancer is ESSENTIAL if you want to prevent it! We're here to break down Myths vs Facts, today we're tackling the myth that breast cancer is only diagnosed in women over 50. While breast self-examination is an important part of breast cancer prevention, not all breast cancers can be detected through self-examination alone. Regular mammograms and clinical breast exams are also important for early detection. Join us in building a network of hope - you can help our mission by donating, volunteering, or sharing your story to help others going through a similar journey of their own. #fightcancer #earlyrecognition #ericvscancer #takeaction

Here's how your donations can make an impact: ⭐£50 can buy special restriction enzymes used in cancer research. ⭐£150 could fund a day of clinical trials for the innovative iKnife, used in breast cancer removal surgery. ⭐£200 can fund a team of 10 cancer nurses for 1 hour of essential care. Throughout October, we’ll be sharing photos and updates as we make progress. Please lend your support by donating—every little bit counts, especially as we all know someone who has been touched by cancer. https://lnkd.in/e5jtQdZ3 Let’s walk together to help find a cure. 💪👟 #CancerResearch #Fundraising #Walk100miles #TogetherWeCan #SupportACure #HRPathUKWeCanDoIt
