At the recent forum hosted by the #AllianceforEducation the discussion focused on the pressing issue of out-of-school children (#OOSC) in Pakistan. #MuslimHands Executive Director Mr. Gillani highlighted alarming statistics from UNICEF and the Government of Pakistan, revealing that 26.2 million children, which constitute 40% of children aged 4 to 16 are still not attending school. This issue extends beyond the Government of Pakistan and demands the collective efforts of all #stakeholders including international and non-governmental organisation’s as well as local communities. #Communityownership and the realization of the importance of education are crucial yet currently lacking. To address this there is a dire need for a comprehensive #strategy and robust guidance. A solid policy #framework is essential, providing clear guidance and protocols to prioritize education and delineate roles and responsibilities among various stakeholders. Several challenges hinder progress, including economic and social barriers.Additionally #climatechange poses a significant threat exacerbating the situation. The #COVID-19 pandemic has also drastically widened the gap in education, further complicating efforts to bring children back to school. Despite these formidable challenges we should underscored the importance of collaborative efforts by working together. #SchneiderElectricFoundation #SDG4 #CommunitySupport #SDGs #WinterCare #Abidsuleri #bilal1anwar #UNHCRPakistan #UNICEF_Pakistan #UNDP_Pakistan #ndrmfpk #NDRMF #ndmapk #GovtofPakistan #PlanComPakistan #PHFHumanitarian #muslimhandspak #muslimhandsuk #PDMAKP #ukinpakistan #FranceinPak #CanHCPakistan #USAID_Pakistan #UNOCHA #UNIDO_Pakistan #EduMinistryPK #UNOCHA #pkBritish #BritishCouncil #UnescoPakistan

Empowering learners in Somalia through the ABE System The Accelerated Basic Education (ABE) system emerges as a beacon of hope for countless children, especially girls. Cultural barriers among many factors have been affecting the education of the girl child in Somalia . In response to this pressing issue, the ABE system, spearheaded by ADRA Somali and funded by the European Union in Somalia, is making significant strides to reshape the landscape of education. While we understand that education has always been the cornerstone of progress and development, the ABE initiative aims to address these challenges head-on by providing an accessible and flexible educational opportunity designed to accommodate the unique needs of older pupils. The ABE system offers flexible schedules that allow these students to balance their education with other commitments, enabling them to continue their learning journey without compromising their other responsibilities. ADRA Somali, in collaboration with the European Union in Somalia, is leading the way in revitalizing Somalia's educational framework. Each student who benefits from the ABE system is not just a statistic—they are future leaders, innovators, and change-makers who can drive the country and their society towards a brighter future. With the unwavering support of the European Union we are witnessing that every child, regardless of gender or circumstance, has the chance to learn, grow, and thrive. As ADRA Somali we continue to foster on inclusive educational environment where all children can reach their full potential. The future of Somalia depends on it. #educationforall ADRA International ADRA Deutschland e.V.

Dear NGO Friends, This letter has come at the right time where states are advised to expedite the process of releasing various grants under mission vatsalaya at their level. The grant can be realised only if better convergence among various departments in states. In many states District Child Protection Units are still under the initial stage, overloaded and multitasking. CWCs are lacking proper orientation & training and infrastructure; beneficiaries are lacking basic legal documents like aadhar card or bank accounts; less active state child protection society etc ; lack of awareness among common people about mission vatsalaya scheme. We request the ministry to undertake rapid state wise assessment of status of statuary compliance needed for disposal of grants under mission vatsalaya and reasons why grants have not been released in time. Uzmi Athar at PTI covered this and telegraph India reported https://lnkd.in/gT2Y5SwD Miracle Foundation India Childhood Enhancement through Training and Action (CHETNA) NACG-EVAC India Dr.Rinchen Chophel Dr. Vikram Srivastava
