I am looking forward to this and hearing what comes out of korero regarding AI literacy. If you want a sneak peek into our framework, you can see an overview here: https://lnkd.in/gf8jWKrH. We will be unpacking this framework in the session, along with exploring some concrete examples of how this may look in the classroom.

During our recent assembly on 'AI - The New World,' I had the opportunity to share a thought with our young learners: 'AI is smart, but human kindness is what makes the world a better place.' In this short video, I explain the meaning behind this message to my students. It's a reminder that while technology and AI are transforming our world, it's our empathy, kindness, and humanity that truly matters. As educators, how do you balance teaching technology skills with fostering emotional intelligence in your students? I'd love to hear your thoughts! #AIinEducation #EmpathyMatters #HumanKindness #TeachingWithHeart #EducationLeadership"

The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine recently released draft AI guidance for schools! Some may wonder why Ukraine cares about creating AI guidance during this time of war. I once asked them a similar question. They told me that innovation in education shouldn't stop. The war will end, and when it does, they want to know that they have done their best to keep their kids ready for their future. Thinking about that answer continues to inspire me. ❤️ I'm honored to have them as longtime partners of Code.org and now participants in TeachAI. They specifically referenced TeachAI materials and the AI Guidance for Schools Toolkit, including the Sample Considerations for Existing Policies section. Congrats to Mykhailo Fedorov, Oksana Pasichnyk, Valeriya Ionan, Dmytro Zavgorodnii, and all the others who worked on this, including all of the teachers who provided input. Attached is a Google-translated version of their PDF. If you can read Ukrainian or want to try, check out the link in the comments. #TeachAI, #Ukraine

Educational and Child Psychologist for Westminster City Council (Senior Practitioner for Secondary Schools and Generative AI) Safeguarding Trustee for Camara Education
That Ukraine is focussing in on the most up-to-date advances in education by producing this AI guidance is stunning enough. But it’s not just guidance, it’s a way of thinking. It inludes collaboration, professional development, alternative ways of thinking, creative approaches to assessment - all moving towards the key areas highlighted in the World Economic Forum’s Future of Jobs report. Ukraine is looking to the future. We can learn from this and do so much more to support ALL young people to develop their AI literacy in parallel with the foundational skills needed to complement their learning.
