There are so many fantastic takeaways coming from today's RAISE Health Symposium!
Here are a few highlights so far:
-Dean Lloyd Minor remarked on the goal of RAISE Health, which aims to "convene the experts and look for areas of synergy in places where 2+2 is much greater than 4. It's to bring people together and to be a trusted source of information about work going on in the deployment of AI in healthcare and biomedicine across the nation and around the world."
- "We must urgently adopt a mindset towards making sure we're able to unlock AI's vast potential," said Dr. Fei-Fei Li in her opening remarks. "AI transforming all of what we all do is no longer in the future, it is present." We are also excited for the close partnership between the RAISE Health initiative and AIMI Center that she mentioned!
- During the panel "Public-Private Partnerships: Aligning for Impact," AIMI Co-Director and Stanford Health Care Chief Data Scientist Nigam Shah discussed why public-private partnerships are needed for responsible AI: "We have to find a way to scale doing good science. We can't sacrifice on quality. The skills for rigor reside in one place, and the skills for scale reside in another. And hence, we're going to need these types of partnerships."
You can still join us online for the RAISE Health symposium, which continues until 1:00 p.m. PDT. https://lnkd.in/g5GBS5Hs

🎉 A Landmark Achievement in AI-Driven Healthcare in the Philippines 🇵🇭
Since embarking on our mission in 2019, Qure.ai has been dedicated to transforming healthcare in the Philippines through the power of AI. Our collaboration with the Philippine Business for Social Progress (PBSP) and the Centre for Tropical Medicine and Global Health at the Nuffield Department of Medicine, University of Oxford, has been instrumental in proving the advances for TB screening and care with innovative AI solutions like qXR and qTrack.
🚀 To date, we've screened 500,000+ patients, demonstrating the profound impact of AI in healthcare. Our AI-driven approach has significantly improved efficiency, reducing the number of people needed to screen to find one TB case from 41.5 to 26.3, compared to traditional methods. Moreover, the drop-out rate after chest X-ray screenings has plummeted to 16.6% with AI, from 43.1% with human readers, ensuring that a higher percentage of diagnosed individuals receive timely treatment (3.8% with AI vs. 2.4% with human readers).
We are immensely proud to partner with the Centre for Tropical Medicine and Global Health, Nuffield Department of Medicine, University of Oxford, in this groundbreaking research. This collaboration has not only validated the effectiveness of AI in healthcare but also set a global benchmark for innovation.
A heartfelt thank you to the Philippines for embracing this journey with us, and to PBSP and the University of Oxford for their invaluable partnership. Together, we are not just witnessing, but creating, the real-world evidence of AI's transformative potential in healthcare. Here's to continuing our journey of innovation and impact in healthcare!

🚀 Accelerating #AI for #HealthyLongevity and #PrecisionMedicine is crucial andyour concern is absolutely spot-on. The integrity of medical data is the foundation of any breakthrough in precision health -otherwise shit in, shit out!
The #NeuroTransData (NTD) network 🧠🇩🇪 is actively addressing these challenges by putting data integrity at the forefront for over 10 years.
Under the visionary leadership at NTD, we've implemented a dynamic data control framework that ensures high-quality, secure, and reliable data for #AI systems. Through a strategic, interdisciplinary approach, NTD drives continuous improvements in real-world data management – paving the way towards #PrecisionMedicine while addressing the very issues of reproducibility and data accuracy you mentioned.
☝ This is made possible by our doctor/patient platform DESTINY, which allows us to input data in a standardized and verifiable way, with the database at its core. 💓 (audit trail, query functions).
🔍 #DataIntegrity matters
Without rigorous controls and a leadership-driven approach, even the most advanced AI systems fall prey to the “Garbage in, Garbage out” dilemma. NTD’s commitment to top-tier data quality is a clear step toward mitigating these risks and accelerating the journey towards truly personalized, n-of-1 diagnostic and therapeutic outcomes.
👉 btw, otherwise, we wouldn’t have achieved the MDR 2a classification for our predictive model PHREND in #multiplesclerosis last month. 👏
🤝 Collaboration is key
Like @ THE HEALTH CAPTAINS CLUB, NTD believes in the power of “silofree,” multi-stakeholder partnerships. It’s only through unified efforts that we can scale next-generation healthcare solutions globally.
👉 Let’s take responsibility together and ensure the future of medicine is built on a foundation of integrity, precision, and collaboration.
